WORLD BOWLING TOURNAMENT
U. S. A. OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS
A long time dream of many
of our bow lin g fraternity
throughout the world will be realized
this summer when the
World Bowling Tournament and
U. S. A. Open Championships
are held in Los Angeles and
Beverly Hil ls, California, with the
City of Pasadena as their host.
It's a city -high on the list of
every sight seeing traveler. We
are fortu nate to arrange specia I
rates on 125 rooms at the Huntington-Sheraton
Hotel - located
in the exclusive residential section
of the Rose Bowl city. Host
to the aristocracy of the world
since its doors opened in 1907,
the 500 room hotel is flanked
by plush cottages which house
world travelers and dignitaries
to the city.
The 20 acres of park-like
grounds which surround the
hotel offer an Olympic size swimming
pool, tennis and badminton
court. You ngsters fou rteen
years and under can share rooms
with their parents at no extra
charge and these 20 acres and
fun outlets are theirs to enjoy.
The beautiful picture bridge,
with its historical Ca lifornia
paintings by Frank Moore, is
noted throughout the world by
art lovers. The bridge is built of
Redwood.
The East Room has been designated
as registration headquarters.
We shall also have a
mezzanine lounge exclusively
available for bowlers. The banquet
will be held the night of
July 8 in the hotel 's Viennese
room, preceeded by a social hour
