In-design costings
imos offers absolute detailed accuracy in planning and design.
It therefore makes sense to use the planning and design
data not just for the piece lists and the CNC-programs but
also for the costings made along with the planning and
design work.
The imos Organizer includes a range of
costing functions for this purpose:
k To calculate the material overhead the exact quantities
of material are determined and the costs calculated
from the material prices and additional charges.
k To calculate the material and production
costs the system determines not
only the materials used but also the production
times required. Every element
in the imos object structure can be
assigned its own work operations with
fixed and variable time fractions. These
work operations then form the basis for
compiling complete order-specific job
schedules which contain the calculated
production times for each stage of production.
Finally, the exact production
times and costs are calculated on the
basis of cost centers containing the cost
rates per time unit.
k As a part of the process for setting the
price for each article, fixed and variable
prices are added together and can be
saved directly with the article. These prices
can be linked through variables to
different versions of each article, thus
creating complex price tables.

The costing calculations are performed automatically in the
background. The results are available in a range of formats
and levels of detail and can be transferred to Microsoft Excel,
for example, for further analysis.
