Artistic Statement:<br />
“My work is primarily concerned with Identity, sex, body and other cognate subjects.<br />
In general, I’m open minded and never stop face myself with confrontating things and<br />
issues. Everything could be in a way dance, if your mindset allow it.”<br />
Biography<br />
<strong>Hong</strong> was born in Saigon / Vietnam and moved as a boat people to Berlin/Germany<br />
in 1981. With successful gymnast background, he starts to dance (Breakdance) in the<br />
early 90’s and has his first stage experience in the Power Variete Show 92 in the UFA<br />
FABRIK Berlin. Since then he has performed at variete productions for GOP (Beatz),<br />
Wintergarten (Hotel California), Friedrichstadt (YMA), and more. Furthermore he was<br />
part of dance theatre productions for Heike Hennig & Co. in “Maria XXX” and “Gesamtgewicht”<br />
with solo appearance. With his own bboy crew “5 Amox”, he was successfull<br />
in international breakdance contests like BOTY or <strong>Bboy</strong> World Championships.<br />
Today he is an allrounded unique dancer with skillz in Contemporary, Modern as well<br />
as Breakdance and Acrobatics. His outstanding own style, is a mix of 20 years autoditact<br />
dance experience. Thats what the name Experimental- /<strong>Lyrical</strong> <strong>Bboy</strong> comes from.<br />
In 2009 he has created his own two men company LYRICAL BBOY. Under this company<br />
he starts to create and chorographed different projects. You can find more about it at<br />
