1. Communicati<strong>on</strong> Plan:<br />
a) temporary EOC established in <strong>District</strong> <strong>North</strong> For <str<strong>on</strong>g>Mega</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>Drill</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>on</strong> 15 th Feb 2012<br />
b) Communicati<strong>on</strong> through tetra sets and everybody will talk in our <strong>District</strong> Channel<br />
c) Landline ph<strong>on</strong>es will be used as a alternative opti<strong>on</strong><br />
d) In case we are not able to Communicate through above modes of communicati<strong>on</strong><br />
mobile ph<strong>on</strong>es may be used in emergency<br />
e) Additi<strong>on</strong>al 25 tetra sets are required for the mock drill for providing to staff<br />
deployed during mock drill.<br />
2. Plan Scenario<br />
An earthquake of magnitude 7.9 <strong>on</strong> the Richter scale occurred <strong>on</strong> Delhi-Muradabad<br />
fault line, at 11:30 hrs <strong>on</strong> 15 Feb. 2012. Tremor lasted for 48sec<strong>on</strong>ds. The epicenter<br />
of the earthquake was 275km east of the Delhi, near Moradabad at a depth of<br />
approximately 35km. The potential intensity of the earthquake is between MSK<br />
VIII-IX.<br />
Str<strong>on</strong>g tremors were also experienced in the whole of <strong>North</strong>, <strong>North</strong>- Western States<br />
of India.<br />
3. 50 schools both Govt. and Private 8 Colleges<br />
During this period all Schools and Colleges will have to take Drop, Cover & Hold<br />
exercise. (This exercise has been already d<strong>on</strong>e earlier in all schools of <strong>District</strong> <strong>North</strong>)<br />
The School & Colleges have been identified<br />
Meeting held today <strong>on</strong> 10 th feb 2012 at the ludlo castle school with the school<br />
Principals and they were briefed about what acti<strong>on</strong> have to be taken by them. List of<br />
the school & Colleges attached.<br />
