Fellows cemetery. Friends may call at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home. <strong>The</strong> members of<br />
the Family Circle class of the Trinity EUB Church will serve as pallbearers.<br />
Emma Fields<br />
Mrs. Emma (NEWTON) FIELDS, 87, former resident of the Burton neighborhood, west<br />
of Rochester, died at 5:45 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. L. McCARTY,<br />
Whiteland, Ind. She had been in failing health for the past six years and critically ill for three<br />
weeks.<br />
Mrs. Fields was born Dec. 9, 1865, in Shelby county, to William and Amilla NEWTON.<br />
She was married to John I. FIELDS on Sept. 9, 1883. He preceded her in death in 1936. <strong>The</strong><br />
family moved to <strong>Fulton</strong> county in 1907 where Mr. Fields engaged in farming. She attended the<br />
Burton Methodist church and was active in the affairs of that community.<br />
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. W. L. McCARTY, Whiteland; four sons, F. V.<br />
FIELDS, Huntington; J. F. FIELDS, Culver; Cecil FIELDS, Kewanna; Leonard FIELDS, Los<br />
Angeles, Cal., and a brother. Twenty-three grandchildre and twenty-eight great-grandchildren<br />
also survive. Three daughters, three sons and two sisters preceded in death.<br />
<strong>The</strong> body was removed from the Harrison funeral home Kewanna to the home of her son,<br />
Cecil Fields, south of Kewanna. Funeral services are incomplete.<br />
Charles W. Shively<br />
Charles W. SHIVELY, 76, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs.<br />
Fred HUBBARD, 117 West Second street, this city. He had been seriously ill for three weeks.<br />
Mr. Shively, who had been a resident of Rochester for the past several years, came here from<br />
Tiosa.<br />
He was born May 27, 1877, in Kosciusko county to William and Mary (HEETER)<br />
SHIVELY. His first marriage was to Emma BUMBARGER, who died in 1919. In 1922 he was<br />
wed to Glenna SUTTON. She preceded him in death four weeks ago. Mr. Shively was a member<br />
of the Tiosa Brethren church.<br />
Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Nina HUBBARD; Mrs. Nella MIKESELL, Mrs.<br />
Sereda DOLL, both of Culver; Mrs. Willodean BECK, Rochester; one son, Clyde SHIVELY,<br />
Culver; one sister, Viola SHIVELY, Akron; three brothers, Everett, Noah and Martin [SHIVELY],<br />
all of Rochester; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.<br />
Final rites will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster funeral home. Rev. Gilbert MAUS<br />
will officiate and burial will be in the Poplar Grove cemetery west of Argos. Friends may call at<br />
the funeral home.<br />
Clarence L. Keebler<br />
Clarence L. KEEBLER, 67, 418 Pontiac street, this city, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday in the<br />
Veterans Hospital, Fort Wayne. He had been seriously ill for the past 18 months. Practically all<br />
of his life had been spent in <strong>Fulton</strong> county.<br />
He was born July 3, 1886, at Montoursville, Penn. His parents were John and Mary<br />
(MOON) KEEBLER. Clarence was a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge of<br />
Rochester. Prior to his last illness he was employed as a clerk at the Felts Cigar Store.<br />
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth FELIX, Rochester; two brothers, C. I. KEEBLER,<br />
Miami, Fla., and Edgar G. KEEBLER, this city.<br />
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster funeral home. Rev.
