Clyde E. Ball<br />
Funeral services for Clyde Edward BALL, 72, who died Friday morning at the home of<br />
his daughter, Mrs. Goldie KOHN, of Kokomo, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Foster funeral<br />
home, this city. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery.<br />
<strong>The</strong> son of Edward and Margaert (RIDENOUR) BALL he was born in the Tiosa<br />
community on DSept. 25, 1881. His first marriage was to Nellie KETLER in 1907. She passed<br />
away in 1938. Later he was married to Alta MILLER, who also preceded him in death. For a<br />
number of years he was a truck driver for Armour & Co. Mr. Ball was a member of the<br />
Evangelical EUB church. He had made his home in Kokomo for the past two and a half years.<br />
Survivors are the daughter, Mrs. KOHN; seven grandchildren; one step-child and two<br />
nephews. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Sunday.<br />
William O. Baker<br />
Mrs. William H. A. MILLER, of this city, received word of the death of her father,<br />
William O. BAKER, which occurred at 11 p.m. Thursday at his home in Omaha, Neb.<br />
Mr. Baker, formerly resided at 824 Franklin Avenue, this city, where he was employed<br />
by the Rochester foundry for several years. He left Rochester two years ago.<br />
He is survived by his wife, at home, and the daughter, Mrs. Miller of this city.<br />
Final rites were held in Omaha.<br />
Monday, February 15, <strong>1954</strong><br />
Bertha A. Arven<br />
Mrs. Bertha A. ARVEN, 1007 Elm street, this city, died at 6 p.m. Sunday in the<br />
Stansbury nursing home. She had been seriously ill for the past month. Mrs. Arven had resided in<br />
Rochester for 25 years, coming here from Niles, Mich.<br />
She was born June 25, 1878, in Michigan to Winfield and Lavina (COOKE) CHALK. In<br />
1914 she was married to Elmer ARVEN, of this city. She was a member of the New Waverly<br />
Methodist church.<br />
Survivors are five step-children: Walker, Paul, Arlene, Victor and Delores HUDKINS;<br />
eight step-grandchildren and five cousins, Clyde COOKE, Katherine SHANK, Margaret<br />
HARMON and Charles and Libby CHALK.<br />
Final rites will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster funeral home. Rev. Bevis<br />
HILL will officiate and burial will be in the Citizens cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral<br />
home after 7 p.m. today.<br />
Judith A. Davidson<br />
Judith A. DAVIDSON three-day-old daughter of Paul and Rosemary (AULT)<br />
DAVIDSON, died at 8 p.m. Sunday at Woodlawn hospital. She was born February 11.<br />
Survivors are the parents, Leiters Ford; a sister, Laura Jane [DAVIDSON] and her<br />
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph AULT of this city.<br />
Graveside services in charge of Rev. ARCHIBALD were held at 3 p.m. at the Leiters<br />
Ford cemetery.
