Flamenco Cabaret

Flamenco Cabaret features the most celebrated Americanborn
flamenco dancer, Joaquin Encinias, in an engaging,
intimate performance of traditional flamenco fused with group
choreographies. He is joined by Marisol Encinias and soloist
performers from the highly acclaimed Yjastros: The American
Flamenco Repertory Company. Yjastros (“stepchildren”) is a new
culture of flamenco that is both American and deeply rooted in
Spanish Gypsy heritage. The raw energy and inspiration of the
Yjastros performance is in a league of its own.

Vivaldi’s Griselda

Join us for an evening of discovery at the first major U.S. production of
Antonio Vivaldi’s baroque opera Griselda. Considered one of Vivaldi’s crown glories,
Griselda is directed by Peter Sellers and features Meredith Arwady in the title role,
Isabel Leonard as Costanza, countertenor David Daniels as Roberto, and Yuriy
Mynenko, second-prize winner in the 2008 Cardiff Singer of the World competition, in his
American opera debut as Corrado.
