It comes as fund-raisers held their first moneymaking<br />
event, Rock for the Pavilion (see picture), a<br />
live music concert featuring five bands with<br />
connections to the village.<br />
The brain-child of local musician Simon Clark, the night<br />
helped to raise a solid four-figure sum for the fund (see Parish<br />
Council page for details).<br />
<strong>Duffield</strong> Parish Council has already committed to taking out a<br />
£500,000 public works loan towards the project, providing<br />
match-funding can be raised elsewhere.<br />
The Viceroy restaurant has kindly offered to host a fund-raising<br />
four-course banquet at a future date, with half of the ticket<br />
price going to the fund.<br />
