For 63 years, the Tarter family has manufactured quality products that are 

built, used and trusted by pros. As a reflection of our growth and expansion, 

Tarter Gate has changed its name to Tarter. Rest assured that the name is 

the only modification we are making to our more than 600 farm and ranch 

equipment products – you will still receive the same quality product from the 

world’s largest manufacturer of farm and small animal equipment. 

Removing “Gate” from our name allows us to better communicate our huge 

product selection across multiple product lines. Our new logo is modern, 

reflects our state-of-the-art abilities, and emphasizes that we are an American 

company that manufactures everything in the United States. 

In addition to the name and logo change, our brand lineup will be simplified 

to: Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment, Tarter Goat and Small Animal 

Equipment, Tarter Equine Equipment and Tarter ATV Equipment. 

This name change signals the next chapter in our company’s history. We look 

forward to working with you in writing that chapter.

On the farm for over 60 years. 

Tarter Company, LLC, founded in 1945, is still managed and owned by the Tarter 

family. Unlike many other manufacturers in the industry, Tarter maintains total 

control of all phases of manufacturing, from raw material purchase to final delivery. 

C.V. Tarter founded the Tarter Gate Company, located in Dunnville, Kentucky, in 

1945. He made wooden farm gates by hand and sold them throughout the local 

area. He sold the business to his son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Vivian Tarter. 

They, along with their sons, Donald and David Tarter, expanded the business 

to include tubular and galvanized-steel gates along with other livestock-related 

products. Vivian is still an active, full-time member of the Tarter staff. Today’s Tarter 

is a company C.V. would hardly recognize, although his great-grandchildren are 

carrying on the work he began more than a half-century before.

goat, equine, ATV, 3-point and all other farm and ranch needs are sought after in

art facilities in Dunnville, Kentucky and in Box Elder County, Utah. Both facilities 

manufacture a full line of corral panels, gates, feeders and associated farm and 

ranch equipment. In addition to these facilities we also have two facilities in Liberty, 

Kentucky – Liberty Water Tanks and Tarter Industries. These facilities manufacture a 

wide spectrum of stock tanks, 3-point equipment, rotary cutters, cattle-handling and 

other equipment for the goat, equestrian, cattle and hobby farm markets. Tarter is

8-Blade disc Harrow 

The 8-Blade disc Harrow cuts and breaks even the most compacted soil. This disc harrow has 

been designed to make fast work of game plots or garden space, even in challenging off-road 

conditions. This disc harrow is heavy enough to avoid skipping along the surface, yet light 

enough for small tractors or aTVs to pull easily. The wheel assembly 

facilitates towing along paths or roadways, yet rotates out of the way 

when tilling. disc angles are adjustable from 0° to 20° and the depth 

control is as easily adjustable as the disc angle. other features of this 

heavy-duty tool include: 16" scalloped blades, 48" cutting 

width, 13" 4-ply tubeless tires, heavy-duty sealed bearings, 

and tubular steel frame construction. includes hookup points

This clever kit turns your heavy-duty Tarter disc 

Harrow into a combination disc/culti-Packer with 

the turn of a few bolts. a winch adjustment unit 

allows you to lower the culti-packer as needed to 

compact or compress the soil behind the 8-bladed 

discs that break up even the toughest surface soil.

we combined the deep cutting ability of the 8-Blade Tillage disc with the soil preparation and compaction action of the culti-packer 

in this all-in-one implement. The disc/culti-Packer combo makes easy work with a single pass. The 16" tillage discs can be adjusted 

from 0° through 20° and provide a 48" cutting width. The ratchet action handle makes disc adjustment a snap and the heavy-duty, 

front-mounted winch makes culti-packer adjustment both easy and independent of the 

disc blades. The super heavy-duty steel frame and heavy-duty construction make this an 

even heavier tool (711 lbs.). The adjustable 13" 4-ply tubeless tires can be lowered for 

complete ground clearance (when towing or moving) or can be used 

to reduce drag depending on surface characteristics and aTV
