Portugal has radically changed in the last ten years. It is more than an African immigration<br />
destination. It has become a kind of America for the poor and underprivileged. Amongst the<br />
clandestine exiles are people from the Ukraine, Moldavia, Romania, Brazil, China, Cap-Verde<br />
... including Lisa, a Russian living in Lisbon, who is in love with Viktor. They both work for<br />
Viktor’s ex-wife, Fernanda, who runs a gang that makes fake passports and residency permits.<br />
Between them they deal with vast numbers of “foreigners” who want to live in<br />
Portugal or immigrate to the USA. When Fernanda negotiates a deal with an American who<br />
is running an internet scam, things end up in even more of a mess for this melting pot of<br />
dislocated cultures.<br />
