3.1 Plaster Fabrication Materials
The AK Casting Brims are available in two versions. The brims of the CASCD* version have holding pockets on the sides and are made of a
thicker material than the „plaster model“ version.
! Circumference is measured just below the ischial tuberosity.

1 AK Casting Brims, version: plaster model
The AK casting brims, plaster model version, are held on the patient with a securing strap (transfemoral harness).
The plaster bandage is wrapped around the end of the brim and around the distal end of the residual limb as well.
