Having the right people in the right positions at<br />

company. In order to ensure that <strong>Aventis</strong> has the best<br />
teams in place to meet the challenges of a changing<br />
industry environment, we are focusing on attracting,<br />
developing and retaining top talent and building a<br />
high-performance culture. In <strong>2003</strong>, we drove these<br />
efforts much further into the organization by aligning<br />
performance more closely with company objectives<br />
and enriching and deepening the talent pipeline<br />
with a steady fl ow of potential future leaders.<br />

common processes and criteria for talent<br />
management, thus ensuring consistency of assessment<br />
and the availability of a global talent pool.<br />
Through international and cross-functional moves,<br />
