6. Insert cleaved fiber into the rear of the connector until a slight bow is created and the<br />
light emitting from the connector dims/extinguishes.<br />
7. Slide the activator tab towards the fiber tip. Adjust the fiber so it is straight and not<br />
bowed. Remove the VFL, close the hinge onto the fiber cable jacket, and reinstall the<br />
dust cap onto the connector.<br />
8. Hold the Kevlar strands to one side and slide boot forward along with the Kevlar<br />
strands and thread the boot one turn. Cut the Kevlar strands as close to the boot as<br />
possible. Tighten the boot until secure.<br />
