Hello <strong>Engage</strong><strong>360</strong> tire specialists. We’re almost at the end of another great year of<br />

training for Continental and General Tire, and there’s even more great things to come!<br />

For any registered trainees new to <strong>Engage</strong><strong>360</strong>, you will find a wealth of information on<br />

what the training program is all about plus how you can earn points and rewards for all<br />

your hard work. For our veteran tire specialists, you’ve seen new modules launched this<br />

year that cover a variety of training areas for Continental, as well as the hugely popular<br />

Social Media Center that takes selling skills beyond just point-of sale.<br />

To all our registered users, there are more exciting developments currently in progress<br />

and will launch next year as we celebrate a very important milestone. So it’s a good<br />

idea to visit the training center often and check out every area. You never know when or<br />

where you will find something new, or have a chance to earn even more reward points<br />

What to look for on <strong>Engage</strong><strong>360</strong><br />

As the year wraps up on another successful training season, we<br />

are only taking a moment to reflect on everything that launched<br />

in 2012: New modules, selling skills that go beyond your doors,<br />

sponsorship updates and the TeamGT Off-Road Racing Challenge<br />

game. Now we are focused on what’s to come in the next year!<br />

The <strong>Engage</strong><strong>360</strong> <strong>Training</strong> Center marks a major milestone in 2013<br />

and we are planning many program improvements. As always,<br />

new training modules are on the horizon that coincide with actual<br />

Continental product launches. A revamp of the training center is<br />

also in the works. This means streamlined navigation, more bonus<br />

items and better ways to find all of the fun things that make up the<br />

<strong>Engage</strong><strong>360</strong> training program.<br />

All-new <strong>Engage</strong><strong>360</strong> <strong>Training</strong> Center!<br />

But that’s not all! Extra incentives will be awarded throughout<br />

the year, making <strong>Engage</strong><strong>360</strong> the most reward-based training<br />

program in the tire industry! It’s our way of saying thanks to all<br />

of our dedicated Continental and General Tire Specialists in the<br />

Passenger / Light Truck and Commercial Vehicle Tire divisions.<br />

knowledge current and fresh. Which is why we encourage you to<br />

recertify year over year. This means your points and test progress<br />

clears out at the end of the year, but you get the opportunity to<br />

earn those points all over again, gaining you even more reward<br />

items! Remember to redeem any 2012 reward points you have<br />

before the December 31st clear out!<br />

The <strong>Engage</strong><strong>360</strong> <strong>Training</strong> Center’s “SMC” is a great tool for<br />

enhancing sales skills “beyond your doors”.<br />

With social media continuing to grow as an effective tool to reach<br />

potential customers, build your brand and sell more product,<br />

knowing the ins and outs of social media can increase your profit<br />

margins! Using Facebook, twitter, blogs and your own store<br />

website to promote your business can in some cases generate<br />

more business than traditional advertising.<br />

Not only will you gain valuable selling knowledge, read real dealer<br />

feedback and useful tips in the SMC, you will also earn extra<br />

reward points that you can use towards great E<strong>360</strong> merchandise.<br />

COMMERCIAL VEHICLE TIRE TRAINING<br />

An all new Commercial Vehicle Tire module is launching soon! This module covers aspects of our wide base<br />

HTL 1 and HDL2 Eco Plus tires, also called “super singles”. These tires are engineered to replace dual tires<br />

at the tractor drive and / or trailer positions, while improving fuel efficiency, reducing weight, increasing loadcarrying<br />

capacity and saving overall costs.<br />

Also look for updates to existing modules. The first is our ContiCostCalculator, a dynamic tool for determining<br />

your investment by comparing many factors like rolling resistance, estimated lifetime mileage of the tires and<br />

tire casing acceptance rate. The ContiCostCalculator effectively evaluates your “total cost of ownership”.<br />

Another module getting an update is ‘What Drives CTA’. For those new to the program, this module gives<br />

you an in-depth look at the Continental corporation, from its history to its global divisions that go beyond tire<br />

development, its partnerships, affiliations and the sponsorships supported by Continental throughout the world.<br />

This module showcases why Continental is a leader in the tire and automotive industry across the globe.<br />

E<strong>360</strong>:PRO LEVEL OF CERTIFICATION<br />

To become an E<strong>360</strong>:PRO, you must first pass 10<br />

standard tests in order to gain access to this certification<br />

level. If you’ve been studying the training materials<br />

you should have a solid base of knowledge about the<br />

Continental and General brands. There are six “Super<br />

Tests” to choose from: three from P/LT and three from<br />

CVT. You can pick any three, with 3 attempts to pass<br />

each test selected. However, you must pass each test<br />

with a score of 100%. If you fail after three attempts (per<br />

test), there is a lock-out period before you can attempt<br />

this level again. Certification earns you a special training<br />

certificate and mention on the Wall of Fame along with<br />

the current E<strong>360</strong>:PRO Tire Specialists!<br />

Joe really likes the interface of the <strong>Engage</strong><strong>360</strong> <strong>Training</strong> Program. He’s gone through all<br />

the other tire training programs and <strong>Engage</strong><strong>360</strong> is “Easy to use and easy to follow your progress.”, in his own words. “You could have a list of 50<br />

courses to take and they show where you’re at with training. That really keeps you engaged.”<br />

When asked how the <strong>Engage</strong><strong>360</strong> <strong>Training</strong> Program helps him sell tires, Joe had this to say: “The <strong>Engage</strong><strong>360</strong> training site gets you excited about<br />
