fostering talent and team spirit. HEAD Team Elite is a global sponsorship program aimed at
supporting and promoting talented young tennis players in over 40 countries around the world. The
program recruits promising young athletes between 11 and 18 years old, supporting them with HEAD’s
latest high-tech products, training camps with renowned coaches, and national qualifications and
tournaments. A worldwide team spirit is supported by the HEAD Team Elite Website, where young
tennis players can interact with other members and former members around the globe. The website
offers the latest tennis news, an online game, magazine and much more.

The club of champions… Many of the top stars playing on the pro tour today have gone through the
Team Elite program. The young French stars Gael Monfils and Richard Gasquet, considered among
the world’s most talented young players, are both graduates of the program.
...and future champions. The success of the Team Elite program continues with its current players.
15-year-old Bernard Tomic recently won the Junior Australian Open in front of his home crowd. In
2007 he also won the 16s Orange Bowl, defeating fellow HEAD Team Elite player Jose Pereira. Team
Elite girls have also been making headlines, with Michelle Larcher de Brito from Portugal winning
the 18s Orange Bowl in 2007 at only 14 years old.

The Sanchez-casal academy. Built by the famous doubles team Emilio Sanchez Vicario and Sergio
Casal, this renowned sports facility is staffed by a team of top professionals. The academy offers
tennis and educational programs to students and professionals.
World-class coaches and hEad. Many of the USPTA and PTR members worldwide endorse HEAD
racquets and balls. At the Van der Meer Tennis University in South Carolina, founder Dennis Van der
Meer and most of their world-class instructors are playing with HEAD racquets.
Tennis Europe and hEad. In keeping with its focus on the grass roots areas of tennis in Europe,
HEAD became partner of Tennis Europe, the largest regional association of the sport’s governing
body, the International Tennis Federation. HEAD is recognised as the “Official Racquet, Ball, String,

“Recommended Ball of the Tennis Europe Junior Tour.”
Promoting Junior Tennis. Taking on a major role in Tennis Europe’s flagship junior events, HEAD is
the presenting sponsor of largest junior team tennis competition, the “Tennis Europe Winter Cups
by HEAD”, as well as the pan-European summer team event for Under 12s called “Tennis Europe
Nations Challenge”.
rPT and hEad. The Registro Profesional de Tenis (RPT) around President Luis Mediero, founded in
Spain in 1988, provides year-round educational courses and services to tennis coaches and tennis
training centers world-wide. RPT counts 11,500 members in 112 countries.
