Fashion from
the inside out
13 – 16 September 2010
Paris Le Bourget , France
Texworld has developed Designers & Fashion
around three poles, Fabric Experience,
For Future and Services, in order to offer visitors
more emotions, more information
and more services.
Texworld becomes the link between all the players in the sector:
a place for solutions and facilitation, which puts the entire accumulated
expertise of Messe Frankfurt Group at the disposal of visitors
and exhibitors.
Designers & Fashion, Fabric Experience
An unprecedented sensory experience awaits visitors to the 27 th
Texworld exhibition: a showcase orchestrated by the exhibition’s artistic
directors, Louis Gérin and Grégory Lamaud, who invite visitors to embark
on a voyage through the universe of fabric. Six modules represent
six stages in the sector in an allegorical manner:
- “Over the rainbow” where it all starts,
- “At the heart of the industry”, where expertise encounters
technology,
- “Every variety under the sun”, where creativity is kindled
by multiplicity,
- “Across a world of images” where interpretation invents reality anew,
- “About the complexity of form”, where skilled hands reproduce
unique works one after another,
- “A dress never rests, it regards”, where dreams become reality.
As visitors make their way through, they experience the different stages
that lead to the finished product.
“Our intention with these modules was to distance ourselves from
the dictates of trends. Nothing is imposed: we propose and the visitor
disposes” explain the artistic directors who are determined to shake up
the conventional way of working in the branch. A different way
of discovering the products offered by selected exhibitors, so that
a simple visit to the exhibition is transformed into a veritable sensory
circuit, and of allowing each visitor to touch, feel and “live” the material
in an individual way.
