Fashion from
the inside out
13 – 16 September 2010
Paris Le Bourget , France
L’AICP – Académie Internationale
de Coupe de Paris
For the 4 th show in a row, the AICP is attending in response to the invitation
from Texworld. During the four days of the exhibition students from
the Académie will create men and women’s patterns, using the school’s
own geometric design system for pattern-making and draping, under
the gaze of visitors and professionals from the branch, thus giving rise
to potential future collaborations for the students.
Designers & Fashion, Services
A genuine link between all the players in the sector, Texworld provides
the connection between supply and demand, offers solutions, responds
to the specific requirements that visitors express, allows them to forge ties
more easily …
In inviting the Fre(n)sh Fashion Committee association, Texworld lends
its support in setting up contacts between the designers belonging to it
and exhibitors who are on the lookout for designers for their fabric
and clothing collections. “This will allow young talented people to spotlight
their skills, and to make contacts which would not otherwise be feasible”,
remark Louis Gérin and Grégory Lamaud in reference to the committee’s
initiative, as they are well aware of the difficulties designers are confronted
with in meeting professionals from the branch. “Twenty designers have
subscribed to the concept; we hope to be able to welcome many more, from
all backgrounds and types of professional experience, in order to be able
to satisfy the varying requirements from firms that approach us,”
they continue. “It is an extremely interesting initiative that will allow us
to get in touch with professionals and to establish collaborations:
our creativity serving industry,” say the first members.
“Texworld is a platform for meetings between all the players in fashion
branch. The ranges from exhibitors meet the demand from visitors.
Creativity meets industry. I like this sense of a place where you arrive with
ideas and leave with numerous opportunities,” says Michael Scherpe.
