ARTISTIC CURRICULUM<br />
<strong>TERESA</strong> <strong>LAIZ</strong><br />
Teresa Laiz, born in Madrid (1966), starts <strong>her</strong> artistic training when she w<strong>as</strong> 6 years old learning Cl<strong>as</strong>sical<br />
Ballet and then she studied Flamenco, Spanish Cl<strong>as</strong>sical Dancing, Traditional and Popular Dancing, S.XVIII<br />
Dancing, Ballroom, Contemporary Dancing, Country, Oriental Dancing and Theatre. She received cl<strong>as</strong>ses<br />
from great artist <strong>as</strong> Ana Mercedes, Victor Ullate, Gloria and Rafael de Córdova, Candela Soto, Raquel<br />
Quijano, Meritxell Cardellach, La Tani, El Farruquito, José de Udaeta, José Luis Landry, Belén Cabanes, Juan<br />
Carlos Lérida, Olga Cobos and Belén Maya; shares stage with artists <strong>as</strong> Adrian Galia and h<strong>as</strong> got renowned<br />
students <strong>as</strong> the Baroness Thyssen. She also studied Solfa, C<strong>as</strong>tanets, Piano and Flamenco Percussion, h<strong>as</strong><br />
being a member of the Complutense University Chorus, model in "Broadway, Models & Artists" agency and<br />
for the catalan artistic painter Ramón Gutiérrez. Paralell to <strong>her</strong> artistic training, she h<strong>as</strong> got an English Filology<br />
degree from the Complutense University in Madrid (1984/85-1988/89), w<strong>her</strong>e afterwards <strong>work</strong>ed <strong>as</strong> a teac<strong>her</strong><br />
during several years <strong>as</strong> well <strong>as</strong> in the Turism School of the Girona University. She h<strong>as</strong> also studied a Staff<br />
Management M<strong>as</strong>ter, the Doctorate courses and h<strong>as</strong> got the researching competence title.<br />
Her professional experience h<strong>as</strong> been centred mainly in Spanish and Flamenco dance; she h<strong>as</strong> been part of<br />
different groups: Grupo de Danza Española "Contr<strong>as</strong>tes", Ballet Español de "Irene Zambra" (Avila), Cuadro<br />
Flamenco de "Paco de Málaga", Cuarteto Flamenco del "Alonso Cano", Compañía Flamenca “Rosa Mª<br />
Maya”, Ballet Español "Danza y Tronío", "Grupo Universitario de Danza Española", "Andalucía Baila en<br />
Verso”, Compañía "Rumbo Flamenco", “Terrània Dansa” y Grupo de Baile “SET Flamenco”; she also takes<br />
part in a great number of shows in Cultural Centres in Madrid (Luchana, Junta Municipal de Vicálvaro,<br />
Vallec<strong>as</strong>, Cultural Association L.Bocc<strong>her</strong>ini and C<strong>as</strong>a de la Cultura de Boadilla del Monte, El Escorial, El<br />
Pardo, Alcalá de Henares, etc.), in public festivities in Avila and Madrid (Navalperal, Piedrahita, Hoyo de<br />
Manzanares, Alpedrete, Colmenar Viejo, Arganda del Rey, Moralzarzal, Zarzalejo, etc.), also in different<br />
theatres in Avila (Teatro Avenida, Teatro Caja de Avila), Italia (Teatro Politeama Greco (Lecce): Opera<br />
"Carmen" de Bizet), Madrid (Sala Paraninfo de la Facultad de Filología de la U.C.M.).<br />

Taller d’Arts Plàstiques (St. Feliu de Guíxols - 28 September 2003). On October the 19th of 2003 she retakes<br />
<strong>her</strong> facet of performer which began in 1999 with the group “Andalucía baila en verso” performing with dance<br />
recited poetry. This time the project of collaboration with the “Grup Teatral Vidrerenc” w<strong>as</strong> more ambicious.<br />
