NO CCD/YOUTH MINISTRY PROGRAM TODAY AND NEXT
WEEK due to Easter break. Classes resume Sunday, March 30.
ADVENTURE LANDING is happening Sunday April 20. All parish
youth are invited. Go to 12:45 p.m. Mass and hop on the bus in front of
the church. We will return to the Lower School at 5:30 pm. NO CCD
CLASSES OR MASS ON APRIL 20.

Our Lady’s Altar Society Annual Bake Sale This Sunday
Our Lady’s Altar Society Bake Sale is this Sunday,
March 16 after all Masses. Stop by the St. Anne Hall to
pick up fresh homemade cakes, pies, cookies and
candies just in time for Easter. The funds raised by
Our Lady’s Altar Society are used to keep our church
looking beautiful.

March Meeting—Tuesday, Mar. 25—7:30 p.m. St. Joseph Room
The Dallas Arboretum – “A Diamond in Dallas”
Margaret Duncan from the Arboretum Speakers Bureau will be speaking to
us about the history of the Arboretum and the many gardens and events the
Arboretum has to offer. At this meeting we will be selecting the Board
Nominating Committee which will slate the STAMA board for 2008-
2009. Please join us if you are interested in being on this committee.
St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Singles (STACS)
Join us on Wednesday, March 19, for this month's Theology on Tap at
Times Ten Cellars (6324 Prospect Avenue)! This month we welcome
Fr. Stephen Sanchez, OCD, a member of the Discalced Carmelite Friars of
the Province of St. Therese at the Mount Carmel Center in Dallas.
St. Therese of Avila, Carmelite mystic and Doctor of the Church, is
considered to be one of the most profound spiritual teachers in the history
of Christianity. The Interior Castle is Therese's spiritual masterpiece.
Fr. Stephen will introduce us to the fascinating spirituality of St Therese

Natural Family Planning Classes
Modern Natural Family Planning, based on comprehensive scientific
research, is healthy and marriage building. A 3-part series of classes on the
highly effective Billings Method will begin on Sunday, March 30 at
St. Thomas Aquinas. For more information and/or to register, contact

Next Bundle Sunday—March 30
Start cleaning our your closets—the parish St. Vincent de Paul Society will
have its next Bundle Sunday on March 30. The group will have a truck
from The SVdP Thrift Store on our grounds for 4 hours that day (from
8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.) to accept your donations of clean, usable
clothing, household items, and furniture. Please do NOT bring items any
other time, or leave them at any other location on the church or school
grounds, except where and when the truck is present. We will have
volunteers to assist with unloading of your donations and receipts for tax
purposes will be provided. Thank you for your donations.
Attention School Parents
Safe Environment Program at St. Thomas Aquinas
Please remember: all parents who wish to visit the school during
school hours or volunteer are required to complete the St. Thomas
Aquinas Safe Environment Program. Parents must have a volunteer
badge which is required to be worn while visiting the school. Thank
you to all parents for working together to keep a safe environment for
our children.
New School Parents:
It is required by the St. Thomas Aquinas Church and School that all
parents who wish to visit the school during school hours or volunteer
are required to attend the Family of Faith Awareness Training
Program. Please go to www.sthomasaquinas.org and complete an
online screening form and RSVP to one of the sessions listed below.
Attention New Volunteers
All new St. Thomas Aquinas Church or School Volunteers must attend
the Family of Faith Awareness Training session. Awareness Training is
an annual requirement of the Diocesan Safe Environment Policy and is
implemented here by the STA Safe Environment Advisory Board.
Please do not bring children to the session. Please do not arrive late
to the session. Latecomers will be asked to come on another date.
Go to the St. Thomas Aquinas Parish website and then to the Safe
Environment section to submit your paperwork online.

Commemorative Bricks
Honor your children and family with the purchase of a commemorative
brick! The bricks will be used to create attractive walkways at
the Upper and Lower School slated for a June 2008 installation.
Leave an enduring legacy honoring students, families, graduates,
First Communicants, Kindergarteners, departed loved ones, alumni,
teachers, Scout troops, etc. It is the perfect time to order as we celebrate
our school and parish's 60th and 50th Anniversaries. There are two
sizes available, 12x12 ($250) and 4x8 ($75). Funds raised from
brick sales will benefit St. Thomas Aquinas School. Order forms
may be obtained from the STA School website, staschool.org, under
the development tab or from the rectory, back of the church and
school offices.
Children’s Garden
Loved ones wishing to remember a child who has passed away can do so
by ordering a memorial brick to be placed in the STA Children's Garden.
Cost for the brick is $75. Order forms may be obtained from the school
office, church vestibule, rectory, and Grief Ministry. For questions, please
call Connie Wentz 214-319-8910. Deadline for orders is Friday, April 11.
