mares declared through stallion services purchased at the 2010 All American Cup Auction
or mares declared by 2010 stallion service donors. Nominators/owners must have complied
with all rules and conditions established by the All American Cup to be eligible to compete,
including nomination to the ASB Futurity of Indiana Open division.
Entering:
All weanling entries must be registered with ASHA or CASH no later than August
15, 2011.
Every weanling showing in the All American Weanling Cup must pay a $50 declaration
fee to the horse show secretary no later than 12:01pm, Monday, September 5, 2011. Please
expedite by sending in the declaration fee with entries. A public drawing for order of go
will be held 2:00pm, Monday September 6. In the event a handler, trainer or owner draws
two or more entries prohibitively close together within a section, that individual may exchange
with another trainer/handler/owner within the same section. Both parties must sign
a written exchange agreement which must be in the horse show office by 4:30pm, Monday,
September 5. No trades or exchanges will be accepted after that time. Final order of go will
be posted at the Show Office by 9:00am, Tuesday, September 6.
How Shown:
Appointments will be per USEF SB166. Two attendants per entry will be allowed. Handlers
and trailers are required to wear formal attire. Please refer to USEF SB 167 regarding
whips and bags.
Each weanling will enter the ring individually at a trot and shall be shown at the handler’s
discretion, in the manner that allows that entry to look its best. After showing at the trot,
the entry will be presented to the judges for conformation judging. After the judges have
evaluated the weanling, the entry will exit the ring. After all sections have been shown, the
judges will select 18 weanlings to return for final judging. Entries will again enter the ring
one at a time, as per above, except that entries shall not exit the ring but remain in the arena
for final placement. After the class is completely tied, entries may or may not be excused
from the ring before the awards presentation. Immediately following the presentation of
awards, handlers will be directed to take the top 18 finalists to the West Pavilion staging
area for drug and DNA testing.
How Judged:
The judges will tie 16 places plus 2 alternates. A modified MOS Judging System will be
used. Entries will be judged 50% on conformation and finish, 50% on way of going and
natural action.
