John Bradley was in his early 20s<br />
when as a new teacher he was<br />
sent to the remote aboriginal<br />
community of Borroloola in the<br />
Northern Territory. For most of his<br />
adult life he has been working<br />
with the Yanyuwa, documenting<br />
their language <strong>and</strong> culture, <strong>and</strong><br />
is now a fluent speaker himself<br />
... one of the last. Our journey is<br />
an unusual look at indigenous<br />
culture – through words <strong>and</strong><br />
meanings – <strong>and</strong> a record of<br />
change within one man. The<br />
untimely death of Dr Bradley’s<br />
son uncovered a deep spiritual<br />
bond with the Yanyuwa that<br />
