foremost modern sculptors<br />
whose vision has always been<br />
on a gr<strong>and</strong> scale. Born in Berlin<br />
in 1918, inge was forced to flee<br />
to london in 1939 where she<br />
later met <strong>and</strong> married australian<br />
painter, Grahame King. When<br />
King arrived in Melbourne in<br />
1951, modern sculpture hadn’t<br />
shown its face. Today inge<br />
King’s sculptures are installed<br />
in australian public spaces, but<br />
few people would be aware that<br />
they are the work of a tiny 88<br />
