ADSL Centralised
Filter/Splitter
A faceplate filter/splitter of the type installed by the
engineer for an installed ADSL service. It replaces the
lower half of the BT NTE5 master socket and provides
two outlets on the faceplate, one is an RJ11 socket
(wired straight through, unfiltered) for the connection of
ADSL modems, the other is a BT 431A socket which is
filtered for the connection of telephony equipment. A 3way
IDC connector on the rear also provides a filtered
output to any extension sockets. This unit is ideal if you
only have one computer within reasonable distance of
the master socket, if all the other sockets are for
telephony use you don’t need microfilters at each
outlet.
• Tested by BT to SIN issue 2.2
• Compatible with caller display (doesn’t strip out the
caller ID information)

• Moulded from VO rated material colour matched to
BT 1P white

Note: The NTE5 master socket is the type that when
the lower half is un-plugged, it isolates the BT network
side from the subscriber. Any ADSL modems connected
to the filtered output, either via the socket on the front
or connected into hardwired extension sockets wired
from the rear, will not function from these filtered
outputs.

2000 Phoneswitch
The phoneswitch is a mains power socket which can be
remotely switched on/off using a telephone. It is ideal
for controlling a wide variety of appliances such as
heating, lighting and security equipment. The
phoneswitch simply plugs into any standard 13A UK
mains socket, and connects directly to the telephone
line without interfering with any other
telecommunications equipment. It can be operated from
any telephone, either fixed, cordless or mobile, or a tone
pad. First the telephone number is dialled in the normal
way. The phoneswitch answers the call and upon
answering emits an audible beep. A 5 digit security
access code is then entered via the keypad. Once this
code has been accepted, functions such as switching
the unit on/off, and operating the countdown timer can
be achieved by simply using combinations of *, #, and
the 0-9 telephone buttons.
