on the road, holding meetings in various local towns
throughout Missouri and encouraging breeders to
join one or more of the state organizations; such
as MPBA and PPA and contribute to the lobbyists
of MoFed fi ghting for the right to responsible pet
ownership in the state.
When Proposition B was introduced on
the ballot for Nov. 2 nd election, Dave was very
determined to do what he could to fi ght HSUS and
push not only dog breeders but all animal producers
to band together and protect their livelihood. He put
together a fl oat on his fl atbed trailer and attended
all the rallies and parades he could around the state
to get people to vote ‘NO’ on Prop B. (see photo
on page 8). Unfortunately, Prop B passed at the
General Election on Nov. 2 nd , but Dave hasn’t given
up. With the majority of the county votes opposing
Prop B, the current lawmakers are taking a hard
look at amending the bill (which doesn’t take effect
until Nov.2011) and Dave is hot on the trail to get
every pet breeder and owner to not only join the
state organizations but to send in letters and emails
to the state legislators explaining the detriment to
their businesses and families from the animal rights
movement on all animal agriculture.
