Start packing<br />

• Carry your resort confirmation voucher, your<br />

membership card and your photo id<br />

• Any other travel related documentation<br />

• Sunglasses, camera and any specific medication<br />

• Depending upon the time of the year, the climatic<br />

conditions, and on the activities that you would like to<br />

participate in, please do carry appropriate apparels<br />

and footwear. Your holiday consultant can help you in<br />

this regard<br />

• If you are planning a monsoon holiday, do remember<br />

to take your umbrella / raincoat along with you<br />

• Do take note of your travel time from the closest<br />

point of disembarkation to the resort. If it is more than<br />

a couple of hours, you may even carry some<br />

refreshments along<br />

• If you like reading, carry a book. There is nothing<br />

like enjoying a good book while surrounded by nature<br />

• If it is important for you to stay connected while<br />

you holiday, you may even check the phone / internet<br />

connectivity at the resort before heading there<br />

• More importantly, check that your mode of bill<br />

settlement can be processed / is accepted by the<br />

The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary was declared as a Tiger Reserve in 1978 under the Project Tiger<br />

Scheme, and in 1982, the core area of the Sanctuary (350 sq. km) was notified as a National Park.
