dESigN VigNETTES AT THE fAiR
North Side of Show Floor
Antiques can play very well with many different design styles. Three Chicago
design experts demonstrate how they can create beautifully unique living spaces by
blending contemporary furnishings with antiques and fine art from The Fair.
Vignette designers include:
Ramsey Prince – Ramsey Jay Prince Designs
With a background in fine arts and more than 20 years of
experience in the design industry, Ramsey has worked on a diverse
and impressive collection of projects. He most recently created the
Future Fantasy Tablescape and Inside Out Garden Vignettes for
the Chicago Flower & Garden Show and is currently designing and producing a
line of Home Furnishings, which will be available in stores all over the country.
His work has been featured in many national and local publications, as well as TV
programs including NBC’s LXTV Open House. www.ramseyjayprincedesigns.com
M. Grace Sielaff – M. Grace Designs
M. Grace Designs is an award-winning Interior Design firm
founded by M. Grace Sielaff, a recognized expert in color, and
recipient of the ASID Design Excellence Award. Her work has
been featured in Spectacular Homes, Elle Décor, Chicago Home
+ Garden, CS Interiors, Dream Home at The Merchandise Mart Design Center,
Luxury Home Quarterly Magazine, Design Bureau, Alarm Press, and Today’s
Chicago Woman. The firm services clients in Chicago, New York and Florida.
www.mgracedesigns.com
Summer Thornton – Summer Thornton Design, Inc
Known for her bold use of color and pattern, Summer’s interiors
represent an aesthetic style she’s termed “cultured irreverence”.
Mixing high and low, rough and polished, classic and playful,
her designs are traditional at their core, but infused with of-themoment
elements to add personality and energy. After several years in the textile
industry, Summer started her namesake firm in 2007 and has been designing
unpretentious, fun, and fresh interiors ever since. Summer Thornton Design
Inc now manages projects nationwide with an emphasis in Chicago and the
surrounding area. www.summerthorntondesign.com
