The Conventional Way of Doing Things Every farming operation has different and diverse needs, and at times, traditional tillage equipment is the best solution. We have focused our conventional tillage line around dependability. Disk Harrow incorporates features such as hydraulic leveling, tension nuts on each end of the gang bolts, and heavy duty “C” shanks with rubber mounted cast bearings. These key features are just a few examples of benefits that provide the user with the best performing, most reliable disk in the industry. Our secondary and finish tools include the versatile Disc-O-Vator and Field Cultivator. Both feature the Max-Mix Shank pattern. This exclusive pattern ensures that no shank is closer than 28” on a individual bar. Soil is moved one direction and then is returned providing excellent trash distribution and superior herbicide incorporation. The Disc-O-Vator also utilizes a single row of low-concavity disc blades or the exclusive Turbo Coulter. The Turbo Coulter allows the tool to operate in higher residue situations, and at higher speeds sizing the trash for better flow through the shanks. Our finishing tools include the Seedbed Conditioner. This tool crumbles clods and firms the seedbed, making it a perfect planting environment. The Plains Plow is a specialty tool, aimed at wheat producing states to kill weeds while leaving the stubble on the surface. Every Great Plains conventional tillage tool is field proven and has the reputation of being at the “top of their class”.
