Manifold Plugs and Ports
1 5/8-12, 1 7/8-12, 2 ½-12
M47X2, M63X2
Forward Industries has changed the manifold edge ports and plugs for the 1 5/8-12 thru 2 ½-12
threaded sizes. The corresponding metric threaded sizes, M47X2 and M63X2, are also being
changed.
The plugs are being changed
from a 7/8” hex drive to a ½”
square drive.
Permanent thread identification
is being added.
Labels remain unchanged.
The dimensions defining the o-ring cavity portion
of the plug are being changed to meet the
standards MS16142 and SAE J1926.
O-ring replacement part numbers – see page 2.

Notes:
1. Special plugs using these thread sizes will also be changed.
2. These plugs will be provided with spanner wrench holes for installation. See page 2 for
dimensions.
Manifolds with the new square drive plug will shipped when current stock has been depleted. The
change will occur starting in April 2003.
This change DOES NOT affect the manifold mount cylinders or cylinder ports.
