Author Biographies<br />
Margaret Wetherell is a Senior Lecturer in the Social Sciences Faculty at the Open<br />
University. Her research interests include work on discourse and identity particularly<br />
in relation to gender and race issues. She is the author (with Jonathan Potter) of<br />
Discourse and Social Psychology (1987) and Mapping the Language of Racism<br />
(1992) and editor of the social psychology textbook Identities, Groups and Social<br />
Issues (1996).<br />
Nigel Edley is a lecturer in social psychology at Nottingham Trent University. For<br />
some years now he has been researching issues of ideology, identity and subjectivity<br />
from a social constructionist framework. He is the author (with Margaret Wetherell)<br />
of Men in Perspective: Practice, Power and Identity (1995).<br />
