FRENCH ORMOLU CARTEL TIMEPIECE<br />
Circa 1760, signed Le Mazurier a Paris. The case boldly cast with scrolls,<br />
foliage and flowerheads, one-piece 5 ½ inch enamel dial with black Roman and<br />
Arabic numerals, good pierced gilt hands with engraved detail, similarly signed<br />
circular movement with silk suspension, anchor recoil escapement.<br />
Autonomy 3 weeks.<br />
Height: 22 in.<br />
JACQUES <strong>LE</strong> <strong>MAZURIER</strong>, master in 1724, established rue de la Harpe,<br />
1738-1745, sworn, 1750-1752. He made a very unusual single-wheel clock in<br />
1755 then another one with only two wheels. †1767<br />
