<strong>Rochelle</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Arts</strong> is located in Lakeland,<br />
<strong>Florida</strong>. It is completing its 19 th year as a<br />
Pre K-8 th grade magnet school with a fine arts<br />
emphasis. Students are admitted to <strong>Rochelle</strong><br />
through a non-audition lottery system.<br />
The Women’s Chorus consists <strong>of</strong> 7 th and 8 th<br />
grade music majors who have chosen chorus as<br />
an elective class. They have consistently received<br />
superior ratings at District <strong>Music</strong> Performance<br />
Assessments.<br />
The Mixed Chorus consists <strong>of</strong> 6 th , 7 th , and 8 th<br />
grade music majors who have chosen chorus as<br />
an elective class. The women and men rehearse<br />
in separate ensembles and combine for concert<br />
performances. This group has performed at <strong>the</strong><br />
Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., <strong>the</strong> Capital<br />
Building in Tallahassee, <strong>the</strong> opening <strong>of</strong><br />
Animal Kingdom at Disney World, and numerous<br />
o<strong>the</strong>r community and civic events. They<br />
have consistently received superior ratings at<br />
District <strong>Music</strong> Performance Assessments.<br />
Hillary Ridgley is <strong>the</strong> Director <strong>of</strong> Choral Activities<br />
at <strong>Rochelle</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Arts</strong> in Lakeland, <strong>Florida</strong>.<br />
Previously, Mrs. Ridgley taught in South Carolina<br />
and Orlando, <strong>Florida</strong>. Choirs under her direction<br />
have performed at <strong>the</strong> National Kodaly Convention<br />
and have consistently received superior ratings at<br />
<strong>Music</strong> Performance Assessments. She regularly<br />
conducts workshops and adjudicates. Mrs. Ridgley<br />
received her BME from Stetson University and<br />
MME from <strong>the</strong> University <strong>of</strong> South Carolina.<br />
