The information contained in this handbook is 

provided so that members of all classes may be aware 

of their privileges and responsibilities both on the 

course and in the Clubhouse. 

Competitions, dates and divisions are subject due to 

weather and other conditions beyond our control.

VETERANS CLUB 

Weekly on Wednesday mornings the Vets join forces for a fantastic 

day of golf. Members must be 50 years of age to enter. With annual 

championships and the REG WOODAL SHIELD up for grabs, 

the Veterans Programme offers a great opportunity to stay fit and 

participate in golf in a competitive yet friendly environment. 

13 Hole (Midweek) COMPETITION 

Played on holes 1 to 13, the 13 Hole Competition runs from 

Monday to Friday with the last card to be in by 12 noon Fridays. 

Comp cost is $5 per card or $15 per week if paid on Monday. 

Membership costs $15 per year or $20 for member and partner, 

which entitles members to participate in 2 Championships 

throughout the year and a Christmas breakup party including a 

meal, a few drinks and trophies. 13 Hole Championships may only 

be entered by 13 Hole Competition Members.

LADIES GOLF 

Ladies have a midweek competition each Thursday. 

On the first Thursday of the month, ladies play for the Monthly 

Medal and enjoy a social lunch (bring a plate) following golf. 

We also offer a 9 hole competition for those who enjoy golf but 

find 18 holes a bit too much. 

This competition is also great for new golfers, so come on ladies, 

get your golf gear on and join in some weekly fun!

THESE STANDARDS ARE SET FOR THE PRESTIGE AND BETTERMENT 

OF THE CLUB. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT ALL MEMBERS AND GUESTS 

ADHERE TO THESE REGULATIONS. PLAYERS WHO DO NOT COMPLY 

WITH THE CLUB’S DRESS REGULATIONS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED 

TO PLAY ON THE COURSE OR GAIN ENTRY TO THE CLUBHOUSE.

ACCEPTABLE CLOTHING STANDARDS 

MEN & LADIES must wear neat, clean & tidy clothing at all times. 

Neat dress jeans or shorts that are not ripped, torn or dirty are acceptable. 

Men must wear Shirts with a collar or be designed as a golf shirt. 

HEADWEAR IS NOT TO BE WORN IN THE CLUBHOUSE. 

You will not be served whilst wearing any type of headwear. 

Full dress regulations are available outside the Pro Shop.

UNACCEPTABLE CLOTHING STANDARDS 

T-shirts, hi-vis or fluro, football type jumpers, singlets. 

Ripped, torn or dirty jeans are not acceptable. 

Offensive or obscene language on clothing is not acceptable. 

No provocative type clothing including short shorts and mini skirts. 

No stubbies, tights, tracksuits, bike shorts, board shorts or swimwear allowed. 

No dirty, faded, frayed, torn, unkempt or soiled clothing to be worn at any time. 

UN-ACCEPTABLE FOOTWEAR - All ages 

No metal spike golf shoes, open type footwear, work boots, football socks, 

ugg boots or thongs are permitted on the golf course at anytime for players 

or caddies. No thongs or ugg boots allowed in the clubhouse at any time. 

Bare feet are not acceptable at any time including functions. 

Approved socks are available for purchase from the Pro Shop. 

The sole interpretation of what is acceptable dress standard is at the 

discretion of the Secretary Manager or his or her representative.

Constitution of Wolston Park Golf Club Inc. Each player is responsible 

for knowing the Rules of Golf and the conditions of any competition.

“You break it, you pay for it.” 

Motorised golf carts must be driven with regard for safety of 

players and with regard for the Course. Rules, notices, signs and 

blue lines regarding the movement and parking of golf carts must 

be strictly observed and adhered to. Serious consequences apply 

to misuse. All damage to golf carts is to be paid by the hirer. 

The Committee reserves the right to have players who do not adhere 

to the Rules and Etiquette of Golf and The Club removed from the 

course. WPGC is a licensed venue and if offenders are instructed 

by Management to leave the premises they must do so.

SCORECARD REQUIREMENTS 

________________________________ 

ALL scorecards submitted for competitions and for initial and lapsed 

handicaps, should clearly and legibly show the following: 

1. The Players name and signature. 

2. The Players current AGU Handicap. 

3. The Markers signature. 

4a. Members must show their membership number. 

4b. Visitors must show their full Golf Link number & club name. 

5. The date the round was played. 

6. The competition type played. 

Scorecards not filled out correctly may result in disqualification. All 

objections to disqualifications must be addressed to the Captain. 

VISITOR COMPETITION ENTRY 

Members of other golf clubs playing in WPGC open competitions, 

must present their Golf Link membership card upon entry. 

HANDICAPPING 

New and lapsed handicaps require three (3) cards to be provided to 

the Club Handicapper, signed by a Marker.
