We are proud to be a part of preserving as well as developing 

Sweden’s cultural heritage. Växbo Lin weaves and sews linen 

products at its factory in Hälsingland. Our goal is to weave genuine 

handicraft tradition with modern design, and to develop linen 

products that lend their special attraction to ordinary living. Bring 

luxury to daily life with a sumptuous linen bath towel, linen dishcloths 

in the kitchen, or a lovely tablecloth which you just wash and put 

right onto the table. The past meets the present, the timeless hints at 

the future - and all is done with a human touch.

”Storm” for the bathroom! Here’s the hand and bath towel with an attitude that 

leaves no one indifferent. When it’s washed, waves appears that create structure 

and function. It absorbs moisture very well, dries quickly and is easy to carry 

everywhere. Those who prefer a smoother, softer towel can mangle it. 

Care: Wash at 60˚C, spin and let it dry.

Rutig Strandråg (“Chequered Lyme Grass”) is one of 

the first patterns designed by Ingela when we started 

our weaving mill and one of our most popular designs 

ever. Available as tablecloth, cushion and piece goods 

suitable for upholstery, clothing and curtains. A perfect 

match with our Servett napkins in the same colouring. 

Rutig Strandråg is also woven as a 35 cm wide 

tablerunner.

Nova 




Nova has a boldly striped and pleasing pattern. 

The palette of colours creates a year-round 

festive table, and there are matching plain 

coloured napkins that heighten the effect. 

The binding creates a slightly softer quality, 

and if you don’t have a mangle, you can 

use a regular iron on the damp cloth.

Orion 




A lustrous white satin-weave tablecloth that creates 

a shimmer on your dining table. With its timeless, 

intriguing stripes, it is perfectly suitable for both 

everyday and festive use. For this pattern we have 

received the Utmärkt Svensk Form (“Excellent 

Swedish Design”) award. Our Servett napkins 

and Orion tablecloths are an excellent match. 



Vintergatan 




I found the striped patterns amongst Hälsingland’s 

antique preserved textiles, and the blue colour was 

an inspiration for the Vintergatan (Milky Way) 

tablecloth. The tablecloth is a wedding gift from 

Växbo Lin to the Crown Princess Victoria and her 

husband Daniel from Ockelbo,

Gröna Paletten 




Our Jubilee tablecloth. We celebrate Växbo Lin’s 

twentieth year with a large tablecloth and our own 

showroom in Stockholm, named ”Gröna Paletten”. 

The tablecloth has an impressive pattern, making 

for a lively table. The pattern repeat is so long that 

each tablecloth differs from the next. The fabric 

is a pleasingly coarse satin, and hangs with an 

elegant weight. It is easy to mangle, or it can be 

ironed if dampened first. Choose napkins in similar 

tones for a staid setting, or use contrasting colours 

to create depth.

Våga 




Våga is a 100% linen tablecloth which due to its 

special weave needs neither ironing nor mangling. 

When laundered, its surface is pulled into small 

ripples, resulting in an exciting new texture and fuller 

colour. Wash then dry on a flat surface or hang as 

straight as possible. 

The cloth becomes longer if you 

stretch it slightly while drying. 

Creases from storage can be 

removed by spraying lightly with 

water then smoothing with your 

fingers. Mangle or iron if you desire 

a smoother or longer tablecloth.

Rödven 




A versatile, unpretentious linen tablecloth. 

Thinner than our other tablecloths but of the 

same high quality. The unbleached warp 

and coloured weft, in a small herringbone 

pattern, create a vibrant effect. Suitable 

both for daily use and more festive dinner 

tables. Can easily be combined with other 

table decorations or runners. Our Servett 

napkin come in the same colouring as 

Rödven. This linen quality is also ideal for 

dressmaking.

Vargtass (“Wolf’s Paw”) is a rustic satin-weave fabric.

This pure-linen Servett (“Napkin”) in two-leaved 

twill quality is woven in the same range of

Löpande Ruta 


Runners, table mats and piece goods, width 24 cm 


Löpande Ruta table runners are woven 24 cm wide. 

A rustic, pure-style and simple runner in a heavy 

satin-quality weave that is easy to mangle to give 

it a beautiful linen sheen. The small 24x24 cm square 

table mats can be used as place mats for tea sets, 

under hot plates, in between plates, as liners in 

bread baskets etc.

Rutig Strandråg 


Runners, table mats and piece goods,

Rutig Strandråg (“Chequered Lyme Grass”) is

Våga 

100% Linen - Runners, table mats and piece goods, width 50 cm 


Våga is a 100% linen runner which due to its special weave

Grov Släng 



Grov Släng (“Rough Dash”) is a rustic towel that should 

always be within reach. Chefs have them tucked inside 

their apron string. Woven in twill, which after a few washes 

will be highly absorbent with a beautiful sheen. Makes a 

wonderful kitchen set together with Tea towel Sara and our 

Dishcloth in the same colours. 






Tea towel Sara 



This “Glass Towel” or tea towel for the kitchen has a 

great linen feel. Linen towels absorb water quickly and 

dry quickly. Makes a beautiful kitchen set together with 

Grov Släng and our Dishcloth in the same colours.

Bubbel Hand towel 



This towel is woven in a honeycomb pattern, which is extremely 

pleasant to the touch. Bubbel has superb absorbing properties and 

will be perfect in your bathroom together with Bubbel Bath towel, 

but why not also in your kitchen. Avoid mangling for maximum 

honeycomb effect. 







Bubbel Bath towel 



Our Bubbel Bath towel is woven in a honeycomb pattern, which 

is extremely pleasant to the touch. Linen has superb absorbing 

properties and dries quickly. The more you use it and wash it, the 

softer and more pleasant it will be to the touch. Avoid mangling 

for maximum honeycomb effect.

Lilla Märta 



Small towel in lovely quality and great linen feeling! Perfect as 

guest towel or small hand towel in the kitchen. Can be used for

A small towel in 100% linen. The size 50x50cm makes it useful as

Dishcloth 

100% Linen -33x33cm 


For our dishcloth we use a weaving technique that makes it absorbent 

and supple. Each cloth has proper selvedge edges and two hems. 

Linen has the unique property of absorbing moisture better and drying 

more quickly than any other natural fibre. A pure-linen dishcloth absorbs 

effectively so that it wipes things really dry. The linen dishcloth can be 

machine-washed at 60˚C or boiled in a saucepan. The flax comes from 

nature, so when the cloth has reached the end of its useful life it can be 

composted.

Bath mat 



To stand on after your shower. Wipe the wet floor and hang 

to dry for the next time. Linen is eminently appropriate in 

such a product due to its high absorbency and quick drying 

rate. The mat is a cross between a scouring rag, a bath-mat 

and a floor towel.

The Shower scarf is made for use in the shower, or why not 

for a good scrub in the sauna?

Floorcloth 



Those of our customers who are already using our 

dishcloth will also appreciate our floorcloth, which 

has the same attractive design and good qualities. 

It is woven with unbleached yarn and hems in “unbleached”, 

black, blue or red. Its size (52 x 52 cm) 

makes it versatile for both domestic and professional 

use – floor-cleaning, mopping up snow and mud at 

the door, drying the dog coming home from a walk.

A beautiful linen cloth for the hot benches in the sauna. They have a nice cooling

A completely smooth plain-weave curtain with 

proper selvedges. Sheer and beautiful in its 

simplicity. Nothing filters the light as beautifully as 

a linen curtain. Our Klipplin is primarily intended 

for curtains but just as suitable for table-runners, 

or why not a lovely bridal veil. Fits nicely in 

combination with our curtain Vildlin.

The fabric’s sheerness and beauty are emphasized 

by subtle horizontal stripes resulting from different 

thicknesses of yarn. Elegant and refined. Vildlin

Cushions

Cushions make it easy to freshen up a room 

or a piece of furniture. They create a warm 

and cosy atmosphere and you can sit or rest 

your head on them. 

Available in three sizes and in most of our fabrics.

Care instructions 

Linen should be washed separately the first time as lint 

can be released. 

Always soak linen in lukewarm water for approximately 20 minutes 

before washing. 

Wash at 60˚C using a mild detergent without optical brighteners or perborates. 

For our curtains, we recommend hand wash or machine wash on wool program 

at max. 40˚C. 

Very short spin. Stretch when hanging. 

Mangle or iron while damp, using high heat or let dry and enjoy linen’s attractive creasing. 

NEVER tumble-dry linen. 

The products Våga, Storm and Bubbel becomes more beautiful if you just strech and dry them after wash. 

Stain removal - use soap together with boiling water.

Gift sets 

A nice gift is to combine our products and put them together with a banner. Standard version is that you 

can get a towel along with a dishcloth and banner reading “To the kitchen”. If desired, other products 

can be combined, such as Towel and Guest towel, Bath mat and Shower scarf etc, then choose 

a banner with different text, we have seven different options, see below:

Ingela Berntsson has created the entire collection 

at Växbo Lin and continues to develop it. 

The collection is rooted in tradition but heads 

for the future. Its expression is timeless and subtle, 

quality made for generations. Her motivational 

drive is the desire to convey the very feel and 

character of linen.

Welcome to Växbo 

Visitors are most welcome to come and see the weaving 

of linen fabrics at our weaving mill. Växbo also offers you 

the opportunity to see traditional flax-processing machinery 

and mills located in breathtaking surroundings. These, 

together with gift shops, a restaurant, coffee shop, bakery, 

the Malthouse museum, arts and crafts exhibitions etc., 

have always been an attractive destination also for group 

tours. Please contact us for a guided tour of Växbo Lin and 

the ancient flax-processing plant in the beautiful Trolldalen 

(“Valley of Trolls”). Locally produced and 

environmentally friendly are our watchwords here in 

Växbo, both in our factory and the restaurant.
