Welcome to the Stockmen Select Bull Sale. Thank-you for taking the time to read through this book, and learn more about our 

program. We know you get a pile of catalogues this time a year and thank you for reading ours. 

We are very excited about this years group of bulls. We have four select sire groups this year. Careful consideration and many 

miles were logged before we decided on Motive, Reflection, Eastwood, and Chisum. Motive, Reflection, and Eastwood will be at 

Johnstones sale day for your inspection. Each of these sires is backed by breed leading females. 

Each sire brings their own unique characteristics with calving ease bulls, power bulls, maternal 

bulls, a bulls that are a nice blend of each. We feel the bulls are a very consistent group that have 

a lot to offer the beef industry.

Motive 1237 has been a favourite since day one. His perfect uddered Final Answer 

dam, raised him to be the number one weaning weight calf of the 2012 calf crop. 

1237 is a bull with big time performance in a moderate frame, that is well balanced, 

long bodied, stout made, and has great character through his front end and head. 

1237 has outstanding phenotype to go along with a curve bending epd profile, that 

starts at a 2.1 birth and goes all the way to 106 at yearling. This is a bull we are 

extremely proud of and think he has the brightest of futures ahead of him.

stoutest black bulls in the sale along with being one of the nicest

This bull has been a favourite of many. Out of a deep bodied, 

tanky, square uddered Bismarck female, that stems from a great 

cow family.

Motive 1225 is another Motive, Bismarck Combination. His 

Bismarck mother is a favourite of the X born females. 1225 is 

likely the longest bodied Motive son to sell. A bull with great hair,

$13,000 highlight of the Soo Line dispersal sale. Big time

He was purchased from the Musgrave program in IL.
