We used Contrast on heifers for his calving ease, big scrotal and carcass genetics. Also for his RFI feed efficiency<br />
proven genetics in his pedigree. His sire, Danny Boy, is the same as Schurrtop Business and the sire of his dam,<br />
6I6, is also the sire of Proficient. They are very moderate, big bodied and smooth made.<br />

Explanation of Ratings on the Angus Bulls Selling<br />
First, I want to emphasize that every bull in this sale has met all our standards for quality and we would recommend to any<br />
calf or packer buyer the calves out of any bull in the sale. However, to help our customers save time sale day, and make decisions<br />
and improvements on non EPD traits for their herd, we have rated the bulls for three traits with H H H H H being the highest<br />
rating and H being the lowest between the bulls in this sale. In the past, we have used long footnotes to describe the phenotypic<br />
differences in the bulls and we think this system is more comprehensive. These rankings are generally to measure where these<br />
bulls rate within our herd; but they’re also compared to Angus bulls across the Angus breed in general. i.e. One person may want<br />
to emphasize calving ease where as another person may need improvement in frame.<br />
CE = Calving Ease - Based on birth weight, birth EPD, 3 generations of pedigree and physical traits of the actual bull<br />

DISP = Disposition - Every bull in this sale is very acceptably tame. However we scored the difference when in a small 12x12 pen by<br />
themselves with people in each corner. HHHHH is the tamest and HHHH is very acceptable for most producers.<br />
FRAME = The difference in visual frame score based on projected mature hip height within our herd HHHHH indicates the bigger<br />
framed bulls, HHHH average, and HHH indicates less than average frame within our herd.<br />

2063 could be the most impressive calving ease and growth bull ever used here, and he may be the best kept<br />
outcross calving ease secret in the breed. In addition, his progeny grow with the best growth sires and are<br />
extremely impressive from a length, muscle thickness and eye appeal stand point. A son, Schurrgene 2063<br />
2595, was the high selling bull in our 2006 sale. His daughters are some of the easiest doing, nicest uddered<br />
females on the ranch and are ratioing an impressive 104 on their progeny at weaning. He has also recently<br />
proven himself as a low RFI feed efficiency leader.
