The ACUSON X500 ultrasound system is a clinically

Fully Integrated ErgoDynamic Design
The X500 system provides an optimal
ergonomic solution. A height-adjustable
control panel allows for optimal ergonomics
while standing or sitting and 285 degree
console rotation allows for proper patient,
workstation and user alignment. The 17-inch
flat panel display with articulating arm
and heads-up display with point and click
operation further enhances ergonomics.

The X500 system’s small footprint and virtually infinite adjustability allows

The articulated 17-inch flat-panel screen, rotatable and height-adjustable
control console and lightweight, highly mobile overall design combine to
deliver unprecedented operator/system harmony, allowing the system
to be quickly and intuitively adapted to each operator and exam type.

The X500 system’s fully integrated ErgoDynamic imaging
system design helps the user maintain a neutral position and
minimizes sonographer hand motion when scanning, to help
prevent operator injury and maximize clinical efficiency.
The system’s easily positioned, 17-inch flat panel display,
height adjustable and side-to-side rotatable control panel,
with intuitive Home Base design allow each operator to do
more, more quickly, with fewer movements. Innovative heads-up,
point-and-click, screen-oriented operation reduces keystrokes
and repetitive head and hand movements, while allowing the
operator to focus on the patient and the clinical question at
hand, rather than the system controls.

Streamlined workflow and clinical efficiency is central to Siemens quality-driven
design, engineering and manufacturing. The X500 system is designed for streamlined
management of images and data, from efficiently creating clinically valuable
diagnostic exams to populating reports and disseminating images throughout
the hospital/practice environment. Thumbnail image display provides a quick review
of stored images, clips and volumes during an exam and easy access for printing
or deletion of images from a study.
The system’s DIMAQ-IP integrated workstation helps to deliver faster results from
patient setup to image review, and to store, recall and manage patient data with
speed and efficiency. And DICOM structured reporting is especially valuable in OB
and cardiac applications, in which post-exam report accuracy is key.
