make the SL 750 SHIVER’s 90° V twin<br />

road speed, gear selection, atmospheric<br />
pressure, throttle position and even the<br />
speed with which the twist-grip is being<br />

The SL 750 SHIVER confirms <strong>Aprilia</strong>’s talents for frame design. Its innovative mixed frame<br />
combines a tubular trellis upper section with robust cast side members in top quality<br />
aluminium, assembled by high strength bolts. Exceptionally light yet impressively strong,<br />
this innovative frame design lets you make full use of the power delivered by the 90° V twin<br />
engine while maintaining high precision control.<br />
The lateral positioning of the monoshock not<br />
only enhances the uniqueness of the bike’s<br />
styling but also saves space and allows the<br />
exhaust to follow the ideal path, optimising<br />
balance. The unit’s convenient location also<br />
enables the rear suspension to be adjusted<br />
precisely and easily. The exhaust header pipes<br />
from the cylinders join before the single underseat<br />
silencer, before splitting again into two tail<br />
pipes. The high volume of the 10 litre silencer<br />
ensures optimum engine efficiency.<br />
Every single component on the SL 750<br />
SHIVER speaks of excellence. The size and<br />
shape of the aluminium swingarm have been<br />
specially calculated to achieve a level of<br />
rigidity unrivalled in this class of machine and<br />
combined with the 43 mm upside down forks,<br />
providing 120mm of wheel travel, allow you<br />
to tackle all sorts of roads quickly, comfortably<br />
and confidently. The steering yokes are forged<br />
in aluminium for racing strength and lightness.<br />
The SL 750 SHIVER is also equipped<br />
with radially mounted brake calipers and<br />
aeronautical braided brake hoses exactly as on<br />
<strong>Aprilia</strong>’s supersport machines – a first in this<br />
