MONTHLY MEETING
Our monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 20, at the John Paul II Hall in the lower
Rectory at 6:30 p.m. We are looking forward to your active participation in the Society this coming
year. Annual membership dues are still $5.00.
CANDLE SALE
We want to thank all who purchased candles for placement on graves on Cemetery Sunday. This
year’s sales benefited the Polish Scouts and the Holy Name Society.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
As we celebrate our 50 th Anniversary and review our past successes, I wish to recognize our great
past and focus on the work ahead of us.
The Holy Name Society promotes the honor and glory of our Divine God and the personal
sanctification of its members by acts of love and devotion to the most Holy Name of Jesus. The
spirited life of its members is a perpetual act of reverence and love.
Our members perform the Corporal Works of Mercy: to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, give
drink to the thirsty, shelter to the homeless, tend the sick, visit those in prison, and bury the dead
Members also perform the Spiritual Works of Mercy: to convert sinners, instruct the ignorant, counsel
the wayward, comfort the sorrowing, bear adversity patiently, forgive offenses, and pray for the living
and the dead on a parochial, diocesan and national level.
The Holy Name Society promotes respect for the most Holy Name of God, faith in the Catholic
Church and the Magisterium, loyalty to one's country and respect for all lawful authority, both civil and
religious.
In the past 50 years we have made a significant difference in showcasing and promoting the most
Holy Name of God through the establishment of the Parish Priests Scholarships, and hosting
numerous religious and cultural events such as Easter Święconka. One of our strategic initiatives will
be to focus on increasing the visibility of the Holy Name Society among our youth in our parish. We
also plan to expand the scholarship fund.
The Parish is expending a great deal of effort and funds on renovating the Church and the School.
There are plans to host a few events and fundraisers every year to build the necessary endowments.
The Executive Committee is exploring other avenues for increasing revenue and is working on
initiatives that will provide new services to members.
It is my hope you find the work we do important, and the plans we wish to realize worthwhile. We
need a few good men to continue into the future for the next 50 years. You can obtain more
