The follow<strong>in</strong>g items must be recycled:<br />
PAPER PRODUCTS<br />
NEWSPAPER Bundled & tied.<br />
MAGAZINES Glossies are ok.<br />
OFFICE PAPER Bagged or bundled.<br />
CARDBOARD Flatten cartons or<br />
use one large box to<br />
hold other cardboard.<br />
All paper products are accepted comb<strong>in</strong>ed<br />
<strong>in</strong> one collection receptacle.<br />
CONTAINER MATERIALS<br />
GLASS R<strong>in</strong>se clean & avoid<br />
break<strong>in</strong>g. Remove caps and<br />
r<strong>in</strong>gs. Labels can rema<strong>in</strong>.<br />
No w<strong>in</strong>dow glass as that is<br />
considered build<strong>in</strong>g debris.<br />
Ceramics, ch<strong>in</strong>a, and light<br />
bulbs can be put <strong>in</strong> the<br />
dumpsters.<br />
TIN CANS R<strong>in</strong>se and remove tops,<br />
bottoms, labels, and flatten.<br />
ALUMINUM Clean & flatten.<br />
CANS<br />
PLASTIC R<strong>in</strong>se clean, remove r<strong>in</strong>gs &<br />
caps. Any plastic<br />
conta<strong>in</strong>ers with #1-6<br />
symbols.<br />
All conta<strong>in</strong>er products are accepted<br />
comb<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>in</strong> one collection receptacle.<br />

Which site do I use?<br />
Use whichever site is most convenient.<br />
Anyone us<strong>in</strong>g any of the collection sites<br />
must have a county I.D. card.<br />
A card can be obta<strong>in</strong>ed from <strong>Waushara</strong><br />
<strong>County</strong> Parks & Solid Waste Office,<br />
N2402 S. Townl<strong>in</strong>e Rd., P.O. Box 300,<br />
Wautoma, with proof of residence <strong>in</strong> the<br />
form of a tax bill, rent receipt, or utility bill.<br />
What Will Sites Accept?<br />
1. Household waste<br />
2. Leaves, grass clipp<strong>in</strong>gs, p<strong>in</strong>e needles -<br />
must be emptied on compost pile<br />
3. Scrap iron and appliances—refrigerator<br />
doors must be removed. (No microwaves)<br />
4. Furniture<br />
5. Tires at a cost of:<br />
$3.00 / car tire<br />
$5.00 / truck tire<br />
$15.00 / tractor tire<br />
6. Recyclables<br />
7. Triple r<strong>in</strong>sed pesticide conta<strong>in</strong>ers -<strong>in</strong><br />
garbage dumpster<br />
8. Pa<strong>in</strong>t cans—if empty or dry<br />
9. Car batteries ( no others)<br />
What Sites Will NOT Accept<br />
1. Brush, limbs, stumps—These items<br />
can be chipped up and then put on the<br />
compost pile.<br />
2. Build<strong>in</strong>g debris—Materials can be<br />
taken to Valley Trail Landfill <strong>in</strong> Berl<strong>in</strong><br />
(920) 361-4995 or Adams <strong>County</strong> Solid<br />
Waste Department (608) 339-9178.<br />
3. Flourescent Lights –Try an electrician<br />
or Hardware Store<br />
4. Unr<strong>in</strong>sed pesticide conta<strong>in</strong>ers<br />
5. Infectious & hazardous waste<br />
6. Liquids<br />
7. Animal carcasses<br />

1. Microwaves—$10.00 / unit<br />
2. Used Antifreeze—$1.00 / gallon<br />
3. Electronics (computer monitors,<br />
TV’s)—$2.00 households and schools<br />
or $10.00 for bus<strong>in</strong>esses —There is<br />
no charge for computer accessories,<br />
hard drives, pr<strong>in</strong>ters, DVD players,<br />
etc.<br />
4. Used Oil Filters—$.50 for filters up to<br />
6”, $1.00 for filters over 6”.<br />
By law the follow<strong>in</strong>g items must be<br />
recycled:<br />
MOTOR OIL Put <strong>in</strong> clean plastic jugs<br />
with lid. Pour <strong>in</strong>to<br />
collection drum—jugs<br />
are not recycled.<br />
VEHICLE Handle carefully. Acid is<br />
BATTERIES dangerous.<br />
MAJOR Refrigerator doors must<br />
APPLIANCES be removed.<br />
ELECTRONICS Must be disposed of at<br />
& MICROWAVES the Parks Office.
