APPENDIX C CODE OF ETHICS GUIDELINES
Similarly, the treatment or consideration of individuals in a work situation
must be based on their merits and on their ability to perform the work, not on
incidental or extraneous factors that have no bearing on their capabilities. By
extension, the attitude and demeanour of members towards others should not
be influenced by distinctions based on the race, national or ethnic origin,
colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability of the individual.
The standard by which members conduct themselves towards others, whether
intentional or unintentional, must be measured to determine if they have acted
in a discriminatory manner that resulted in another individual feeling
harassed, threatened or intimidated, that created a hostile or offensive work
environment or affected the work performance or the condition or term of
employment of another individual.
