29. This year had the highest
participant attendance
seen for a few years. The

Chemawa Indian School has
been around for over 130
years. With the first graduating
class having fourteen
boys and four girls this year
the class of 2013, 70 students
strive to receive their
high school diploma.

to 385 this school year with a
waiting list for female students.
The administration at Chemawa
has three goals for the
students. 1) That students will
have a voice. 2) That students
will be self governed and 3)
That students will use technology.

Chemawa this year were issued
an IPad. Most classroom assignments
and homework are
assigned through the use of
IPad’s. Technology is the future
and having a well rounded education
using technology only
makes sense. Many students
have been seen around campus
using their IPads creatively too,
creating movie trailers and
documentary films.
