The reliable choice in identifying cows in 

heat. Kamar Heatmount® Detectors give a 

clear indication of a cow in heat by turning 

bright red - clearly visable from a distance. 

Standing heat behaviour is the most 

reliable indication of a cow in heat, but with 

70% showing first signs of heat during the 

night, many night heats are missed without 

reliable heat detection. Kamar Heatmount® 

Detectors work 24 hours a day and due to a 

uniquely pressure-sensitive design, are 

activated only by standing heat behaviour, 

not false mounting.

Rumetrace 

The effective solution - for complete year round 

protection from Cobalt Deficiency 

Cobalt is a particularly important mineral for livestock and is 

essential for growth, performance and general health. 

Low cobalt levels, however, are common and affect approximately 70% of 

the UK. Such deficiencies can have a serious impact on animals and in 

severe cases can cause disease and even death. 

Regardless of the amount of pasture available, a cobalt deficient area will 

not be able to provide adequate levels of cobalt to ensure the animal is at 

its optimal health. 

Cobalt deficiency usually occurs on weathered and leaching sandy or 

granite based soils and during periods of rapidly growing pasture or of high 

rainfall. 

The effects of Cobalt Deficiency on Sheep: 

• Reduced appetite, ill thrift and weakness 

• Reduced growth rates 

• Reduced wool production 

• Emaciation (pine) 

• Reduced fertility due to oestrus inhibitition 

• Reduced disease resistance and associated deaths

Boluses are an aid to good 

management, as they provide a known 

administration rate and a known date of 

administration. When feed, licks and 

drenches are used, there can often be

and correction of selenium 

deficiencies in the diet 

Selenium is a particularly important mineral for optimal 

livestock health. It helps maintain muscle health and supports 

optimal growth and production. Selenium is also vital for 

fertility and productivity and helps maintain the immune 

system. 

Many areas of the UK are categorised as being deficient in selenium. Lower 

levels of selenium usually occur in pasture growing on acidic soils and 

where annual rainfall is high. 

Even with adequate pasture, sheep and cattle can only perform as well as 

the nutrient in their diets. In some areas, due to interaction with other 

dietary minerals, selenium may not be available to the animal. 

Production animals need a diet that contains the right levels of essential 

nutrients, including selenium, to maintain optimal health. Animals in peak 

health are more fertile and most able to deliver optimum weight gains, milk 

yield and milk quality. 

In areas where medium and low selenium levels in pasture mean stock is 

unable to get sufficient levels of selenium from grazing alone, effective 

supplementation is essential for optimal performance. 

ONE TAB Selenium boluses prevent and correct selenium deficiency in
