Pet food is not labeled with this caution statement; however, it may also contain prohibited animal<br />

protein and should not be fed to cattle and other ruminants including sheep, goats, deer, elk, and<br />

bison.<br />

*Prohibited animal protein is derived from mammalian tissues and any protein-containing portion of<br />

mammalian animals, excluding: blood and blood products; gelatin; inspected meat products that have<br />

been cooked and offered for human food and further heat processed for feed (such as plate waste<br />
