Nerine bowdenii<br />
NEriNE (Autumn Lily)<br />
One of the joys of autumn is the sight of an established clump of nerines in full flower. The<br />
bowdenii forms are the hardiest preferring a sunny spot. They are perfect at the base of<br />
a wall where they should be allowed to form large congested clumps. Only divide them<br />
when the bulbs push themselves right out of the ground and they stop flowering. The other<br />
varieties are hardy in frost free areas but make easy pot plants.<br />
BOWDENii<br />
The bulbs produce a flower stem with<br />
one rather loose umbel of up to eight<br />
pink flowers. Plant against a sunny wall<br />
and leave to clump.<br />
