5.2 Mastic asphalt, asphalt hot mix and grouting asphalt pavements Hot mix pavements as wearing surfaces on FOAMGLAS ® compact insulation systems are available in various European countries as an alternative to insitu concrete wearing slabs, pavements in a bed of fine gravel or prefabricated slabs/ paving on spacer pads. The following describes and illustrates the main asphalt construction systems.
