I was just plain fed up! 

The year was 1984. I stood there watching, while our sawyer 

set and reset the stops on the chop saw. How many times does 

he have to measure, cut, measure again, move the stop and then 

re-cut to get an accurate part? It took forever! To make matters 

worse, different operators produced different length parts, even 

when they were supposed to be the same dimension. How could 

I get the job done quickly with less waste and little rework? There 

had to be a better way! 

By 1994, I had sold my cabinet business and started TigerStop 

LLC to solve these problems. I figured that if an automatic digital 

stop and pusher was a good idea maybe there were a few more 

people out there that might agree. 

Fourteen years and 20,000 machines later, I am truly grateful that

can be reset. TigerFence Straight Line Rip (SLR) was designed specifically 

for your straight-line rip saw. Now you can rip an entire board quickly 

and easily. Just key in the new width and TigerFence Straight Line Rip 

automatically moves to position, or use the SLR’s unique jog feature to 

eyeball a width quickly.

Set Point Optimizing and Defecting

Concept: Use your cut-off saw, radial arm, up-cut or chop saw to easily and affordably optimize your material without sacrificing 

accuracy or speed. Just end-trim your board, look down the back fence tape measure to the end of the usable length—this can be 

the end of the board or the next defect—and enter that length when prompted on the controller. TigerStop figures out how to best 

use that length of clear stock against your cutting bill, automatically moves to position, counts the parts you cut, and can even print 

labels for each part!

Step 1: Enter your cut list manually at the controller, or download it from your office PC 

or laptop (order # DNLD). If you’re using our touch screen feature, you can also load 

your cut list into TigerStop over your network.

Step 2: Select your cut list at the controller or the touch screen. Make a trim cut. 

Look down the board and enter the distance from the trim cut to the first defect 

(or to the end of the board, if there are no defects)—this is the clear stock length. 

Step 4: When you reach the defect, cut it out and enter the next usable clear 

length. Repeat this process until all the parts in your cut list have been cut and the 

controller or PC indicates the cut list is empty. 

Now your parts are the right length, the right quantity, with the least amount 

of material and labor used. That’s a winning combination! 

With TigerStop Set Point Optimizing and Defecting you can easily process between 1600

Interconnect facilitates precise control and automation between the TigerStop 

positioning system and your machine. 

The Advanced Interconnect: 

• Controls the movement of your saw or other machine tool.

Find the Perfect Fit For Your TigerStop 

Accessories for use with a standard TigerStop 

The flipaway stop on your new TigerStop does not reach all the way to the 

end of the TigerStop. It sits back from the end approximately 3”. Chop saws and 

radial arm saws keep you from installing the TigerStop up to the blade. So no 

matter what, you have to add an extension to the flipaway stop to reach the 

blade or tool if you are cutting short pieces. If your application is one such 

as push feed or set point optimization, your TigerStop must be able to 

reach zero. These accessories extend the reach of your TigerStop for different 

applications. All TigerStop accessories are attached to the flipaway stop using 

T-slots. 

Don’t see an accessory that fits your application? Then use the T-slots and the 

T-nuts that come with your TigerStop to make and attach your own extension to 

your new TigerStop. Always a flexible solution with TigerStop! 

Pusher Foot

The Pusher Foot, a durable PVC attachment, extends the range of movement 

right up to the saw blade. The plastic foot is easily trimmed by almost any saw 

blade, so your foot is exactly parallel with your saw blade. In the event of a 

mishap, you won’t ruin expensive saw blades.

Double miter saws can be easily retrofitted with a TigerStop using the 

Pusher Miter, standard feed tables and other accessories. The Pusher Miter 

consists of a PVC block and an aluminum pusher bar that feeds material 

through a double miter saw. 

The Pusher Miter Fence is used on infeed and outfeed tables as a front 

fence for double miter saws. Unlike normal miter saws, the double miter 

saw requires that the part is fenced to the front not to the back. The Pusher 

Miter Fence design allows you to do this while installing the TigerStop 

to the back of the machine where it is out of the way. The Pusher Miter 

consists of an adjustable spacer block and a pusher bar that positions the 

stop surface perfectly for using TigerStop as a stop or a pusher.

The Center Pusher is the perfect attachment to use when you have material 

to push from on center. It is mounted to a sturdy aluminum bracket that 

attaches to the flip-away stop and is fully adjustable. The Center Pusher is 

used most commonly when the clamping system of your saw is a center 

line vise. A center line vise, common on cold saws, is one where both jaws 

of the vice move in and out. The Center Pusher allows you to adjust the 

stop point as related to your fences and tool.

A Center Gripper is used most commonly when the vise system of your 

saw is a center line vise. A center line vise is one where both jaws of the 

vise move in and out. These are most common on cold saws. The Center 

Gripper can also be used in pull mode. 

Note: The Center Vise precludes reaching the zero point of the tool. You must set your controller such that the min limit is 

equal to or greater than the tail cut. Tail cut will need to be set to the amount that is the closest distance from the zero point.

Back Fence

Add the TigerStop Back Fence to your existing tables or to your new 

TigerStop Work Station. The Back Fence easily attaches to existing slot holes 

in the TigerStop feed tables or use the T-bolts to bolt it to your existing set up. 

The Back Fence combined with our Adhesive Back Rule is an essential pair 

for our unique set point optimizing and defecting system allowing the user 

to enter the usable material length before a defect. It can be used either on 

in-feed or out-feed tables. 

The Back Fence is sold in 6’ (72”) lengths. Made in aluminum, they can easily 

be cut down or butted together for desired length.

Adhesive Back Rule

The Back Rule is a one inch high adhesive backed tape measure used on 

the infeed table of a set point system. It can also be useful in push feed 

applications, or when TigerStop will be operated in both modes. Just 

remove the backing and carefully apply it to the Back Fence. Specify right to 

left or left to right reading when ordering.

Tilt Base

Saw Support

The TigerStop Saw Support is a recessed table for your saw that integrates 

with TigerStop feed tables. The saw support is bolted between two feed tables. 

The Saw Support comes with two additional legs to allow your infeed and 

outfeed tables to be set up as free standing feed tables to accommodate the 

Saw Support. The TigerStop Saw Support is a rugged ½ inch (12mm) plate 

steel base to set your chop saw or other machine tool. Available in two widths 

20” (508mm) and 24” (610mm). Depth from front edge of table is 20.5”. Easily 

adjusts 2” from the top of the table to 7.5”, to accommodate saws bases of

3x3 Brackets

TigerStop 3x3 Brackets are heavy gauge powder-coated steel, with slotted 

holes in two different patterns on each leaf, and can be used to mount 

TigerStop to the back flange of a TigerStop Feed Table, or to your own table or 

other support structure. You will need two 3x3 Brackets to mount a TigerStop 

of 6’ (1.82 M) overall length, and then one for each additional 2’ (0.6 M) of 

TigerStop length. 

Saw Attachment Plate

The TigerStop Saw Attachment Plate is a secure interface that makes attaching 

your TigerStop Feed Table to a free-standing saw or other tool a lot easier. The 

aluminum plate compensates for the overhang of the saw top and interfaces

**The truth about part accuracy: Your actual part accuracy will depend on a number of factors outside of TigerStop LLC’s control. This includes but is not limited to: condition and type of saw blade, speed of cut, 

clamping options selected for the machine, material type, material straightness and internal tension of the material, feed speeds, temperature and moisture content of product being cut. All of these will all affect 

your quality and accuracy of cuts. Also we have found that there are distinct differences in measuring devices used to validate dimensions of cut parts that can affect apparent accuracy. These factors will effect 

all cut off systems regardless of manufacturer.
