She carried passengers and goods previous to steamers<br />
being put on the passage. She continued to sail after<br />
the introduction of the paddle-steamer, and often com-<br />
pleted her voyage when the steamer was compelled to<br />
take shelter from the gale, and in a good lasting breeze<br />
