OIL & GAS, OFFSHORE, MARINE
was established in 1987 as a
supplier of specialty chemicals, lubricants and absorbents. Over the past 25 years,
we have matured from a small-time importer of chemicals and lubricants, to the leading
citrus marketer that we are today. Our wide range of products includes more than 50
different types of chemical cleaners, grease/lubricants and absorbents guaranteed to meet
all of your needs.
CITRUS POWER
ENVIRONMENTAL
PARTNERSHIPS
REGIONAL
Our respected partners:
Dedicated to ensure customers’ safety, we established our own Eurolube
brand to deliver Thorough, Safer and Greener (TSG) industrial
cleaning solutions. A key tie-up with US-based Florida Chemical
Company culminated in Eurolube’s first citrus series in 2001, using D-
Limonene as a core ingredient. A naturally occurring extract from orange
peel, D-Limonene is 100% natural and has been Generally Recognised
As Safe (GRAS) rated by the US FDA.
With a conscious emphasis on plant-based surfactants and au naturel
ingredients such as D-Limonene, Green is serious business in URMS. In
recognition of our ethical commitment to the environmental drive, we
received the Green Label for Formula 3090 and 3091 from the
Singapore Environmental Council. Certified under Quality Management
ISO 9001:2008, which is evidently the best testimony of URMS tireless
quest for quality.
We believe in fostering and maintaining a strong bond in strategic
partnerships with key manufacturers in our industry. Since 1992, we
have been collaborating with RS Clare (UK), a lubricant and grease
company with an excellent track record of 264 years. Other partners who
work closely with us include Florida Chemicals, Dawg spill control,
Viper wire rope lubricating system and Deb industrial skincare.
As an authorised partner, our world acclaimed partners are assured that
their products are not only exposed locally, but also to a wider regional
market. Headquarter in Singapore, our regional presence extends across
countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, The Philippines and
Vietnam.
Created in 1987, Eurolube Chemicals was invented to deliver Thorough, Safer and Greener (TSG)
cleaning solutions to our key clients in the marine, offshore and heavy industry.
25 years later, as a testimony to Eurolube’s TSG approach, our client base has expanded, as has our
product range. Today, Eurolube’s offerings contain more than 50 core products targeted at addressing a
wide variety of generic and niche industry needs.
THOROUGH
SAFER
GREENER
Eurolube’s comprehensive cleansing series ranges from the light-duty F3090
Detergent Cleaner to high-performance F1110 General Purpose Degreaser.
Specialised products such as F1115 Rig Wash & High Pressure Cleaner and
F3075 3 rd Generation Oil Spill Dispersant cater to specific industry
requirements. Plant maintenance personnel will also find F1132 Rust
Remover and F70 Steelgard Rust Preventive useful additions to their toolkits.
Dedicated to staying green and ensuring customer safety, Eurolube has
moved away from caustic abrasive bases to higher-quality emulsifiers. A key
tie-up with US-based Florida Chemical Company culminated in Eurolube’s
first citrus series in 2001, with d-limonene as a core ingredient. A naturally
occurring extract of orange peel, d-limonene is 100% natural and has been
awarded Generally Recognised As Safe (GRAS) rating from the US FDA.
With a conscious emphasis on plant-based surfactants and au naturel
ingredients such as d-limonene, Green is serious business at Eurolube.
Eurolube is a proud recipient of the “Green Label” for F3090 and F3091,
a testimony to our commitment to a sustainable future and in anticipation of
stricter environmental compliance laws.
Certified under Quality Management ISO 9001:2008, Eurolube is your ideal partner today for a more
Thorough, Safer and Greener working environment.
OIL SPILL DISPERSANTS
HOW IT WORKS DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Due to its lower density, the oil floats to the surface of the seawater to create
an oil sleek. When Eurolube Oil spill dispersant is added into the oil, the
surfactants diffuse into the oil sleek and rapidly migrates into the oil-water
interface.
The surfactants reduce the interfacial tension between the oil and water.
Their presence (“oil-loving tails” and “water-loving heads”) at the interface
reduces the energy required to disperse the oil into the water.
The Oil Spill Dispersant acts solely as an agent to enhance the formation of
discrete oil droplets and they remain afloat in the sea. The dispersant does
not “weight” the oil droplets in order to sink them.
Micro-organisms consume the oil droplets and the oil spill dispersants
producing natural by-products commonly found in marine environment.
This process occurs at a much faster rate when the oil is broken into smaller
droplets by Eurolube oil spill dispersants.
OIL SPILL DISPERSANT IN ACTION
One drop of Eurolube Formula 3070 Oil Spill Dispersant is
introduced into a petri dish containing crude oil and water. This
experiment is similar to the standard U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) Test for the effectiveness of oil spill dispersant.
For the treatment of oil spill on sea or water, set up fence
around the spillage to prevent diffusion. Then remove oil
as much as possible by means of an oil skimmer or oil
absorbent to narrowing oil fence.
Spray Eurolube Oil Spill Dispersant over the affected spill
area completely for faster reaction. Agitate with the
pressure jet water or other mechanical methods dosages
depending on the thickness of the oil slicks and can be
diluted to the optimum concentration needed for different
extent of contamination.
Allow the Eurolube Oil Spill Dispersant to penetrate the
spillage for 10 to 20 minutes and then hose or brush down
with seawater. The resulting emulsion is easily rinsed away
and leaving a clean, oil-free surface. The emulsion is
readily dispersed in seawater leaving no oil slick.
For smaller and more localised applications such as oil
removal from deck plates, the product can be applied
using a mop or brush.
WATER-BASED OR SOLVENT-BASED?
Formula 3080
(water-based)
Once the Eurolube Formula 3070 Oil Spill Dispersant is in
direct contact with the crude oil, it immediately breaks the
crude oil sleeks and flushes to the edge of the petri dish.
Brand X
(solvent-based)
(Left) Clear separation of crude oil and water seen using Eurolube Formula 3080
Water-Based Oil Spill Dispersant. Formula 3080 contains no hydrocarbons and does
not form emulsion. Hence, water-based Formula 3080 is less harmful to the environment.
(Right) Cloudy or milk appearance due to emulsion of Brand X Solvent-Based Oil Spill
Dispersant. Although the crude oil “appears” to mix with water, in fact the toxic
hydrocarbons form the emulsion which masks the separation of oil droplets and water.
Solvent-based oil spill dispersants contain hydrocarbons which are harmful to the
environment, especially to the marine life.
The crude oil sleek is readily dispersed by Eurolube Formula
3070 into micelles (or sufactant-stabilised droplets), thus
allowing air and sunlight to pass through the water column.
These micelles will biodegrade into natural by-products over
a period of 45-90 days.
FORMULA 60
STEELGARD RUST PREVENTIVE
SURFACE PREPARATION
For maximum protection, surfaces should be free
from dirt and oil. Formula 60 can be applied over
damp metal surfaces. In many instances, the coating
has been applied to oily surfaces with good results.
APPLICATION
Formula 60 is a water-based corrosion inhibitor that
will freeze at 32F (0C) and is applied above freezing
temperature. At room temperature, Formula 60
normally dries in approximately 15 minutes and will
completely cure to a water-resistance coating which
will not be washed off by water in 24 hours.
DIPPING
Dipping application is recommended where a large
number of small parts are protected. Draining time is
usually less than one minute. Rust preventive
formulation of pools in recessed areas should be avoided.
SPRAYING
Formula 60 may be sprayed on by any spraying
equipment designed to work with water-based coatings.
The viscosity of Formula 60 (150-200 C.P.S) is sufficient
to ensure a uniform corrosion-resistant surface on
vertical or horizontal surfaces. Formula 60 should be
sprayed as concentrated form as thinning or dilution with
water may produce poor results.
DRYING TIME
Formula 60 provides excellent protection for inside and outside
storage. It sets quickly at room temp, usually within 15 mins.
Upon setting, it changes visibly from a soft blue milky film to a
dry-touch blue translucent wax-like film.
The curing process normally takes 24 hours but may be
completed in as little as 5 mins with blower fans, heat lamps or
drying rooms. Coating should not be subjected to rain until film
has been cured.
BENEFITS OF FORMULA 60
High Performance – waterborne rust preventive on
metal surfaces. Meets the performance requirements
for Military Specification MIL-C-16173D-Grade 1.
Clean & Safe – contains no toxic or harmful materials.
An alternative to dirty and flammable solvent-based
rust preventives. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor
use.
Stable - Will not wash off during outside exposure,
even in severe rain, sleet, hail or high humidity.
Formula 60 removes finger prints from metal surfaces
during application and will not abrade under normal
handling and packaging conditions.
Water-Based – results in fewer accidents, lower
insurance cost and eliminates the need for expensive
environmental safety equipment.
Non-Reversible – excellent rust preventive coating.
Leaves a non-reversible hydroscopic film that
covers an area 2 to 5 times greater than oils.
Easy To Apply & Quick Drying – which accounts for
clean oil-free bins, packages and work areas.
Formula 60 reduces plant clean-up and can be applied
cold with quick-drying action.
FORMULA 6001
WIRE ROPE LUBRICANT
(SEMI FLUID)
DESCRIPTION
A semi-fluid wire rope lubricant incorporated with a
non-flammable solvent for ease of application
and gives a higher level penetration level than
ordinary solid lubricants.
Formula 6001 is specifically designed to lubricate
wire ropes operating under adverse conditions.
It displays pseudo-plastic (thixotropic) properties
to retain a lubricant consistency when static but thins
on shearing. Thus allowing ease of applications and
penetration into the wire rope.
APPLICATIONS
Pressure application systems such as Viper wire
rope lubricator forces the semi-fluid lubricant into the
wire rope under high pressure. Pressure lubrication
provides a very effective means of application to
ensure the lubricant reaches the wire rope core in a
single application.
Formula 6001 can also be applied by manual
lubrication using a brush or spray.
PRODUCT DATA
Grease is delivered to the steel collar
via a high pressure grease pump at
pressure up to 6,000 psi.
Steel collar contains Polyurethane seals
with multiple grooves that allow lubricant
(Clareguard GRL) to penetrate to the wire
core.
Aluminum scraper plates at each end of
the collar remove old lubricant,
flatten broken wires and protect seals.
Wire rope lubricant application is adjusted
via air control valve (operating pressure
80psi - 120psi) which adjusts lubricant
pump speed.
Wire ropes are pulled though the collar
and excess lubricant is returned to drum
(via a clear drain hose).
CLAREGUARD GRL is a thixotropic (pseudo-plastic) grease,
specially developed for use only on wire ropes. The unique
formulation provides excellent penetration properties whilst
ensuring minimum fling-off after application, either by manual
or automatic application methods.
Pressure application systems, such as the Viper Lubricator,
force the lubricant into the wire rope under positive pressure.
This method provides a very effective means of application
ensuring the lubricant reaches the core of the rope in a single
application and can also extend the time period before
re-lubrication is required.
Clareguard GRL BIO has been specially formulated to meet
the pass criteria for the HOCNF (Harmonised Chemical
Notification Format) in the North Sea - the
stringent system for assessing the environmental impact of
chemicals used in a marine environment. Clareguard GRL BIO
is formulated from environmentally friendly raw materials and will
ultimately biodegrade to CO 2 and water.
Saltwater Resistant Grease (SW2 LF) can be used on a variety
of applications where either water wash off or salt water corrosion
is a problem. It is used to provide maximum corrosion protection
to ropes operating in constant or intermittent sub sea conditions,
for example vessel tow ropes and mooring ropes.
Deb Dispensing Technology
All Deb dispensers are Biocote protected, which
is a silver-based antimicrobial agent that inhibits
the growth of a broad spectrum of bacteria and
moulds.
The Power of Silver
Deb dispensers are bicote protected which is a
silver-based antimicrobial agent that is incorporated
into the dispenser components at the time of manufacture.
It inhibits the growth of a broad spectrum of bacteria and
moulds and will not wear out over time.
Guaranteed for Life
All deb dispensers are manufactured from
durable plastic components. They are
thoughtfully designed and rigorously tested for
high usage environments, and are guaranteed
for life.
Hygienic
There is no ingress of air during use which protects the
product from exposure to the external environment.
Thus minimising the risk of cross-contamination and ensuring
“fresh” product is dispensed every time.
No Mess
Every Deb cartridge features an ultrasonically welded
dispensing pump which does not drip or clog, ensuring no
mess on sink tops, floors or walls.
No Wastage & Cost Control
Deb’s sealed dispensing systems deliver a precise,
measured dose so that only the correct amount of product is
dispensed for optimum cost in use. Cartridges are designed
to collapse in use so that all the product is evacuated.
Easy Application
Large, “easy-push” button ensures easy dispensing of product
and empty cartridges are easily replaced in seconds.
