Introduction<br />
"Shanthi" NEW series of Helical Geared Motors and Gear Units take advantage of our many years of accumulated expertise and<br />
experience in designing and manufacturing of transmission products.The end result is a series of speed reducing sizes offering<br />
high load carrying capacities, high efficiency, quiet running and reliability. These sizes are compact and available in two, three,<br />
four, five and six gear reduction stages.<br />
Design of these gear units, made with gearing details following addendum modification based on the latest findings of gear<br />
design with the help of latest computer software programmes, has been finalised keeping the most favourable ratio distribution<br />
and the no. of teeth, module, helix angle, face width combination in order to achieve the optimum evenly distributed power<br />
rating in various stages.<br />

- Single helical gears are made out of high grade case hardening alloy steel.<br />
- Designed to transmit high torque and power. Gear geometry & rating details confirm to relevant ISO/DIN Standards.<br />
- Profile ground with the latest technique for tip relief & face crowning, ensuring smooth and silent running under all<br />
types of abnormal conditions.<br />
- The sturdy gear casings are made of high grade Cast-iron (except the smallest size 02, which is made of<br />
Aluminium alloy die casting)<br />
- Made in ' Mono Bloc<br />
' design without any split or location joints in order to ensure maximum rigidity,<br />
thus reducing noise & vibration.<br />
- Created using latest 3D modelling technique to present and attractive aesthetic appearance.<br />
- Provision is given at the top for viewing gear contacts of all stages, when required.<br />
- Designed to suit various mounting positions.<br />
- Made out of medium carbon steel, hardened & tempered.<br />
- Tapped centre hole at shaft extension to facilitate retaining or removal of connection element.<br />
- Plunge ground oil seal seating portion to prevent oil leakage.<br />
- Anti-Friction bearings to ensure smooth operation and longer life and to withstand high overhung loads.<br />
- Radial lip type oil seals for effective sealing of lubricant.<br />
- Double lip oil seals can be provided for dusty atmosphere, if specified.<br />
Electric Motor<br />
- Squirrel cage TEFC induction motors conforming to latest IEC/IS standards.<br />
- Suitable for 3 Phase AC supply.<br />
- Class F Insulation.<br />
- IP 55 Protection and use of lip type seal at driving end of shaft extension.<br />
- Other special motors are supplied, on request.<br />
Painting & Protection<br />
- Shaft extension & other machined surfaces are coated with rust preventive compound.<br />
- External surface, painted with synthetic enamel paint of hammer tone finish with Dark Grey Colour.<br />
