President of <strong>India</strong> is <strong>the</strong> Chairman of <strong>the</strong> found<strong>at</strong>ion<br />
• 75 farmers <strong>at</strong>tended <strong>the</strong> program<br />
• <strong>Program</strong> contents- implement<strong>at</strong>ion of Good Agricultural Practices, market linkage-Videos<br />
present<strong>at</strong>ion on Importance of Vermi Composting, Drip Irrig<strong>at</strong>ion, Soil Collection, Importance<br />
of Soil/w<strong>at</strong>er/leaf Testing and calibr<strong>at</strong>ion of sprayers.<br />
• Interaction with <strong>the</strong> farmers.<br />
• Onsite testing of soil & w<strong>at</strong>er samples.<br />
<strong>Key</strong> Findings:<br />
• Majority of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Farmers</strong> not aware of importance of soil / w<strong>at</strong>er testing.<br />
• The vegetable plants after harvesting are being burnt presently.<br />
• Presently <strong>the</strong> applic<strong>at</strong>ion of chemical fertilizers is based on <strong>the</strong>ir previous experiences.<br />
• Lack of awareness on <strong>the</strong> requirements of Good Agriculture Practices.<br />
• Lack of Awareness on <strong>the</strong> prospective buyers for better price<br />

• <strong>Farmers</strong> have realized <strong>the</strong> importance of soil/w<strong>at</strong>er testing and are keen to get <strong>the</strong>ir soil/w<strong>at</strong>er tested<br />
for <strong>the</strong> next season onwards.<br />
• <strong>Farmers</strong> are interested in implementing Good Agricultural Practices(GAP) for market linkage.<br />
• <strong>Farmers</strong> are fully <strong>at</strong>tentive in viewing <strong>the</strong> entire program as <strong>the</strong> contents of <strong>the</strong> program are mostly<br />
exhibited through videos and with interactions.<br />
• <strong>Farmers</strong> realized how to utilize <strong>the</strong> plants after harvest (instead of burning <strong>the</strong>m presently) for<br />
preparing Vermi compost/Wash to reduce <strong>the</strong>ir dependence on chemical fertilizers.<br />
• <strong>Farmers</strong> expect frequent visits of Rythu R<strong>at</strong>ham during <strong>the</strong> first crop cycle for understanding <strong>the</strong><br />
practices followed by <strong>the</strong> farmers, whe<strong>the</strong>r in tune with GAP.<br />
• <strong>Farmers</strong> requested <strong>the</strong> help of eFresh in helping one farmer in preparing Vermi compost/<br />
Wash and also <strong>the</strong> records required for <strong>the</strong> implement<strong>at</strong>ion of GAP.<br />
